there is a little nuance to when the DRL comes on, because it only stays on when the indicator is active when its dark outside. otherwise, the DRL shuts off when the indicator is activated and fades back on when its shut off
from the sound of it, its free with the purchase of a Dark Horse. i recommend getting in contact with Ford Performance and seeing if you can get yours. but also check to see if you have any incoming packages that have a reference number containing the last 8 of your VIN and your chassis number
i have some news of my own. i have been working on a spreadsheet that compares as-built data and lists what is different (code by ChatGPT, i really cant be asked). i should have some info soon. i wont be able to share the spreadsheet directly due to the GTD as-built data. as of now, i am...
you know, i get this faint feeling that you maybe, just maybe like red a bit...
joking aside, that looks absolutely awesome. red on red on red with bronze looks awesome. red or green with bronze and white or yellow with black are (in my opinion) the only 4 color combinations that look perfect...
while it is true that the dealer uses different software, we have nowhere near the freedom FORScan does. we cannot change individual nybbles or bytes of data with IDS or FDRS, and service procedures for some reason require downloading them from Ford to be executed
the base price of the Huracan Performante was ~$281k in 2017, which is about $367k today. gotta agree about the interior, though. they could've at least made all the fake carbon fiber real
According to a few sources, Ford brought the Mustang GTD to the Nürburgring again to beat their time, and they did by about 5.5 seconds! this means that it now has the 9th fastest lap time, behind the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, and above the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series...
i will be doing some looking when i get home. according to the spreadsheet, over 60 nybbles are not mapped to anything documented. also, yes, "nybble" is a real measure of data, it refers to one hexadecimal value, where "byte" refers to two hexadecimal values. "F" is a nybble. "FF" is a byte...
or if you work at a Ford dealer or service center that has the access, it costs you nothing for access for as long as you work there. just know that Ford monitors everything. every action you make, every workshop manual page you view, every breath you take is recorded for an indefinite amount of...
supposedly everything he does is software only. the person who originally told me about him mentioned that the guy says amber DRLs do not work on 2024 Job 1
i dont think this is a matter of hidden things, i think my ability to test this may be limited by the fact i have a 24 job 1, but of the others i have tested, this may be a case where you need your IPC reprogrammed with the GTD software. im still working on figuring out the DRL one
a good idea, but no dice
interestingly, the actual property of the 100-220 section filling slower than the rest does work fine. i wonder why the actual speedometer function broke, because it seems like literally every other property from the formatting to the needle movement works perfectly
i really like this color. i like the bold colors so much, i nearly got a Mach 1 in Twister Orange (and would've swapped the appearance package calipers onto it too). now we just need a good green to come back. either Grabber Lime, Need for Green, or Eruption Green. honestly, i would even take...
for anyone who was looking to make their Mustang have the 220 MPH/360 km/h speedometer from the GTD/GT500, this thread is going to track that. as of posting this thread (May 1st, 2025), i have tested a 2024 Job 1, 2024 Job 2, 2025 Job 1, and 2025 Job 2. all of which have had the same result; the...
