i used to run 87 because it was cheaper. i decided to switch to 91 (highest we have in AZ) because i want to supercharge it and want everything to be nice and ready and have myself desensitized to the price of filling it with 91. i even went as far as to swap my "87+" sticker for a "91+" one. if...
i checked on my Mustang and the alternator fuse is rated for 275A, so logic dictates that the cable itself can handle more than that; after all, there is no use in putting such a high amperage fuse if the cable it's attached to fails sooner than that
i was actually just looking at this too, but for a different reason. i am happy with the sound system, but want to add a 500W or so inverter so i can have as much power as i could possibly need. Ford only has one alternator listed, being the supposed 190A one. if it actually is 190A, i wonder...
video summary: 8 to 10 minute directions on how to find and have a glass company replace a windshield, with some other stuff mixed in, like info on how some states have a zero deductible on glass. some info from me: the windshield technically is special due to the Ford logo and the Mustang pony...
Ford loves to cause headaches. apparently those double buttons are different than normal buttons in that, instead of being made of translucent white polycarbonate like the headlamp switch, they are made of transparent polycarbonate, with the white being a coating under the black
i want it to have an OEM look, hence why i went with a Ford switch. that one looks very fancy schmancy, definitly not Ford. since my main plan was to put some laser jammer controls on it, i want it to look as inconspicuous as possible. plus, i am a stickler for aftermarket parts needing to blend...
for those who dont want to feed the clickbait: he tried to slide it into some spot on his property from about 73mph, but both went too fast and started the slide too late and clipped some bricks. it needs a new rear wheel, rear bumper cover, and rear diffuser. not "crashed" in the expected sense
i went to Home Depot to buy some of that Baer Black in spray paint form, but satin was too glossy and matte was too dull. i also tried Sherwin-Williams but they had nothing to help me. i then went to Space Age Auto Paint 40 min away and was fully prepared to spend a pretty penny to have a custom...
so i decided to use some buttons that are going to be replaced on the headlamp switch anyways to test paint colors and removing the icons. my first attempt at removing the icons (or rather, the paint around them. the icons themselves are gaps in the paint to the translucent plastic) used my...
got the 7th button today. also good news on the cupholder front: i got the new lighting rings look like they are roughly the right shape! this will likely be good to model a cupholder for
Ford has a HUD in the F-150, Super Duty, Escape, and a few of the Lincolns as well. they also have an electronic rear view mirror exclusive to the Transit
allow me to give some insight from (sort of) the inside. Ford is currently in some sort of cost-cutting mode it seems, and a rather aggressive one at that. Mustangs no longer have owner's manual pouches. F-150, Bronco, and Ranger Raptors no longer have "Raptor" keyfob backs. Explorer STs no...
6 of 7 buttons and 1 of 2 headlamp switches are here
holding that many buttons feels weird, almost illegal. also, the upper-left button on the headlamp switch still pops the trunk
those poor relays click clacking for their life! i will agree that not removing the charger and recording instead is stupid, but i guess this kind of thing can happen with a very, very low or internally shorted battery. if that is the case, then the biggest risk is really how the modules react...
