Something is very wrong..... I promise the car is not running 9s in the 1/4 mile.... Also reaction time doesn't count towards the 1/4 mile time....
I would say something is wrong with the software.....
Let me see what I can find......but it was on the A10 cars- if you tried to brake torque it then it would cut power to protect the drivetrain .......guys were saying their tuners figured it out and once they tuned it out 60 foot times dropped drastically......
Who knows if they did the same...
What spec did you order?
a few notes-
carbon traps seem to make a difference
There "could" be torque management if you brake torque- this is what they did on the 22 and 23s but with a tune -- launches improved and times dropped
Thats because it is 3.3 .....I have driven multiple GT500- Mach 1s - GT PP1 A10 cars - and I can tell you without a doubt...... they messed up if they had a 3.7 0-60 .... most other people were getting in the low 3s and there have been guys that dipped into the 10s on a stock tire completely...
Yep 100% the Dark Horse is like the Mach 1 / GT350- none of these are drag cars...they are all track cars so I am with you 100% - the fact they are quick in a straight line is a bonus
And yes- I owned an S500 PP1 A10 prior- while drag mode worked right away- normal daily driving took some...
The numbers were in before on the manual car... and they were not that great... I mean remember A10 s550 GTs were running 11.8s ... 0 to 60 faster for the DH but if 1/4 mile faster on the s550 that means it catching the Dark Horse on the big end
The stopping is impressive though...
But get...
Also should point put the 350R gets faster acceleration numbers then the 350 due to the wheels
So while I think the DH carbon fiber wheels are ugly... the DH should pick up another tenth with them
Yes ... same numbers as a 350R but coming from a 19 PP1 a10 previously... much more consistent acceleration with the A10 then the 350R will get you...
I mean all cars tested are sticky track with roll out so if you gave faster acceleration numbers here expect to be faster on the street as well...
You are telling me you have never driven a Shelby without telling me you have never driven a Shelby .....
So you can add a 5.2L motor/ blower/ DCT/ cooling mods/ aero mods/ suspension exc exc for less than 20K? Dark Horse starts at 60K and GT500 was 76K I believe
I understand completely
My car is definitely more of a "feelings/ experience" car then a "numbers" car - I could go trade it on a GT500 or Zl1 tomorrow if I was only after the best numbers (or throw a turbo Coyote in a Fox Body)
Sometimes its about the experience more than the numbers
Its...
I can see limiting the car 1000RPM for break in....but 250....cant see it
Any I mean how bad would the quality control have to be that they accidentally set the rev limited 250RPM too low ......
But then again I have seen other videos with loose bolts on the tie rods - would make me wonder...
Im with you- I hate the goth like eyebags on it - and while outside of that I do like the rest of the car....I HATE the name.......
Cobra.... Mach 1... GT350 .... so many cool names to choose from .....but I cant just see telling my buddies I bought a Dark Horse
When I think Cobra- my mind...
The only thing that doesnt make sense is my car has an 8250 redline- and over on the 350 forums ...no one is having problems with the transmission - (OK so maybe I have seen 1 or 2- but not likes it is some HUGE issue)
And why not just say the new redline is 7250? Why tease us like that?
I previously owned a PP1 A10 car - they have an ULTRA low first gear- so if you brake torque it more it just goes up in smoke - or at least mine did
Also- if the 24 has the same programming the 22 and 23s did- the more you brake torque- the more power it removes
The good thing is - a 22...
One of the lower dynos had over 1000 miles but I wouldn't read much into it
More interested in times
See my post earlier on what they did with the 22 and 23 GTs ... my guess is they probably did something similar to the 24s with lowering torque if you brake torque it ... guys are saying their...
So over in the s550 forum I just learned that... if true... for the 22 and 22 GTs they started doing torque management so if you tried to brake torque it would reduce power to reduce stress on the drive train so they were not running the same times as the 18 to 21 A10 cars ...
I guess someone...
