  1. Carl Widmann, former Mustang chief engineer, hints at the future of the coyote

This is my first Coyote, I love it just the way it is.
  2. Rain Sensing Wipers

I turned rain sensing off. Same problem, a few drops of rain and they go to full speed. A great way to boost Fords wiper sales. Someone here sid it was due to the speed sensing part of the system.
  3. We had a party to celebrate and bless my new Mustang.

That is very cool. Cars have almost become appliances here, they deserve that kind of respect.
  4. Three months experience with my "hated" S650

It is a pain, they just don't do infotainment well. The car is basically good though, a long way better than the pre VAG Skodas.
  5. This is getting silly... never thought I was buying an economy car

This was the last leg of our trip to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. I never thought I was buying an economy car. That's about 27 mpg US, on our roads, on a busy holiday weekend, it's hard to believe.
  6. Genesis beat Ford to it…

You lost me at good looking.
  7. Genesis beat Ford to it…

Bloody hell, I thought SUV coupe's plumbed the depths of imbecility, but this stuff is subterranean. Why have an impractical off roader?
  8. I finally got my Mustang.

Well done. I hope you have many happy kilometres in your new baby. Welcome to the forum too.
  9. Three months experience with my "hated" S650

It's not just the EU that's foisted this witchery on us. But at least Ford made it easy to switch off. A double click of the mode button to custom mode and ASS goes off in the mode I set up. Double click the lane assist and that's off. Much easier than the PIA system in our Skoda. The other...
  10. Tall gearing on MT82

Same here. Always had smaller nippy cars, and bikes for real thrills. FWD is always a challenge to get as good as RWD. My SEAT Leon Cupra had very good steering, but not a patch on the GT86 we had before it. But I was smitten with the Mustang, it's fun even when you aren't caning it.
  11. Tall gearing on MT82

The thing that surprised me when I first drove an S650 was the turn in, grip and general handiness of what is a biggish car down here on our narrow back roads. Much, much better than I had expected. I'm certainly not trying to convince you to go auto, but Npole on here described how he does...
  12. K&N cold air intake CAI installed

I'd be surprised if it hydrolocked from rain getting on the filters. Usually it's some numpty thinking their car can ford metre deep water and swallowing the bow wave.
  13. Australia - 25C43 S650 recall (Water Ingress/BCM damage)

They told me half a day. Don't know why some are being told it's an overnight thing.
  14. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

My GT is an investment. The money I save in not changing every three or four years will be invested in holidays and stuff.
  15. Who was this? Was it you?

Nice control, up to closing anyway. I wonder if he lost it?
  16. Tall gearing on MT82

I also think 10 gears is 2 or 3 too many, but it does work well. At least in mine it does. It never hunts for gears and keeps the revs at the right point whether your cruising or getting feral. Sport and track modes are very well done. I do like paddle shifting too.
  17. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

Welcome. Lots of info and helpful advice here.
  18. Tall gearing on MT82

Watch Misha Charoudins Nurburgring vids with getrag Mustangs, he changes into 6th and they fall right off the power band. It may not be such an issue for normal street driving though. I'm guessing your roads are more winding than straight, like ours? The 10 speed may be a better bet.
  19. Window Tint

Fortunately, she cut and ran before she was booted out. Equally fortunately the new Govt has some strong supporters of shooting sports.
  20. Auto stop start on a 2025 GT premium.

It's a bit of a pisstake Ryan. Don't take it personally. Like all pisstakes, there is an element of truth there. We took an Ev Uber recently, and he was raving on about never having to do maintenance on it. Just what I wanted to hear from a cab driver. We actually thought about an EV years ago...
