It's the 3-cylinder from the GR Yaris and upcoming GR Corolla. Sounds nice.

The only hydrogen engine I've "heard" was from a POV video showcasing the current Toyota Mirai, and from what I could tell it was practically silent. I can't imagine that experience carrying over to the next Mustang going well with enthusiasts.

So there's still hope for a hybrid and/or AWD version of the Mustang that isn't a Mach E...probably not at launch, but perhaps 2-3 years afterwards at the earliest or near the end of the S650 generation at the absolute latest. Back to the original topic, if I ever pull the trigger on a Mustang...

Is there any possibility the next GT/[specialty model] makes even less horsepower and torque figures (down to let's say 440/460HP for this example) on paper to meet tightening regulations, but then actually performs on par if not faster in real life?

I doubt this is new news to anyone here but according to Ford Authority, the S650 will launch with the current EcoBoost 2.3L and the Coyote 5.0L.

As an EcoBoost owner who is enjoying the Mustang experience thus far (going three years in August), YES PLEASE, keep the V8 for the Mustang as long as possible! If I can't get a hybrid and/or AWD in it, at least keep the V8 around.

I admit my initial reaction to the GT was "Ugh, too much grill." Maybe it's due to the lack of new news, but after seeing others point out the design strengths and weaknesses it's starting to grow on me. Even if it's a Photoshop (according to Jem) I can see where the design language is going for...

Even if they're not directly doing a Fox theme I'd love to see three-spoke rims make a comeback on the Mustang. I feel I'd be the only one in that camp, however.

Looks nice. Hopefully the analog gauges (I have high doubts the S650 will exclusively have digital gauges, nice as that sounds on paper) look similarly appealing.

Thank you very much for your advice. I have one more question if you don't mind. Do you do anything extra besides changing tires on your GT for the wintertime? (i.e. adding extra weights in the trunk, chains, etc.)

I think this rendering is okay despite how far away from reality it is (rear corners of the headlights look too far into the side of the car in my opinion), but it is good to know that the S650 won't be as mild a refresh as this latest take from SketchMonkey's was.

I don't know, aside from not having the muscle car hood bulge, I think the refresh overall looks more aggressive than when it first came out. But I'm likely in the vast minority with that opinion.

Maybe this is an EcoBoost prototype? Also, hooray for finally having photos to speculate on! Again, here's to hoping they exceed what they accomplished with the S550.
