That was my understanding as well and I struggle to believe Ford would trust a strategy code update via wireless you know? The F150 thread says they did... but I'd like to see 1 or two more sample points before I draw a conclusion.
They used to make low glare interior polishes as well. I used them on older cars. Not sure if they still do that. I also see glare but only with certain angles.
Did you install yourself?
Any observations on airbox size differences, inlet tube differences etc? By the pictures it all looks larger and long term that might be a better fit for my upgrade plans.
I will be re-installing my Banks Pedal Monster soon. Even with the tune I don't QUITE get the throttle response I want. But I think tune and throttle controller will make it all perfect.
Very interesting. You wouldn't think they would be willing to do a strategy code ECU update remotely but I read that thread on the F150 site and it surely was happening. We will see if that goes on with ours.... Could make re-tuning an expensive proposition as many tuners will want to re-tuning...
I googled it for you and found a link from this forum with an apparently long winded video… pedestrian safety.

I mean don't get me wrong... I'm totally getting one LOL. And I will research the power gain claims and go with the best one that a tuner or place that is willing to spend money to dyno does. And after I install I will swear it makes butt power. But I'll do that with MY money... not yours lol...
When tuning first came out Lethal did a segment with Rob Shoemaker and he made a comment that you could add a CAI with no re-tune needed because they are running MAP. So while I can see MAYBE some throttle response, maybe some "woosh" noise (sometimes that doesn't sound good).... they are pretty...
Great information. Would love to see footage if you get a chance.
I'm super torn on this thing. I love the integration.... but really want decent night video as well you know?
Pretty clear footage.
One thing I have not seen yet is night time footage... I wanna see if license plates and other details are clear at night.
If you happen to drive at night, can you share footage sometime?
Otherwise great post!!
Ghost cam sounds so cool lol. So tempted to add a tune just for that. I have a '67 with the 289 and a cam that lopes away like that and I love the sound.
I have my radar detector drawing off of the mirror connection so the Fitcamx should pose no issues by doing it that way.
Probably going to order the front only here soon. I don't plan on figuring out how to run the wire to the back for rear cam.
