All things aside from this not being a true FP developed Mustang, from someone who didn't own an S550 and seeing how awesome the GT350's and Mach 1's were I'm glad I'm currently on order for a DH HP. Everything I've heard about the DH matches what I'm looking for in my next car: emotional, fast...
With constant news of the Handling Package being an exhausted commodity for the Dark Horse, I start to wonder what components in the handling package could be on constraint:
Since the bottleneck is at the plant, probably either the Mag Ride or the chassis tuning? Surely it's not the entire...
Yeah, they told me they got 5 for MY 2024, a little surprised they got 2 already. I would say they are the second or third biggest Ford dealer in DFW. The first allocation was no AP or HP. The Second allocation was no HP. I think a DH with AP and HP will be a rare car to see over the next couple...
I agree, though the front end looks way better in person. I would definitely tune and put a new exhaust on it to bring it alive. I REALLY want the DH and that 7500 RPM Coyote but things don't look good for me after this week. If the M4 is still pricy by November then I'll go find a Mach 1 to...
Recently learned I was passed up a second time due to the Handling package being unavailable. 1st time was due to the AP. Only 2 months of sanity left in the tank for a VIN number 🙃
This is a good point. In general, I'm starting to wonder how quickly Ford can get all of those Mustangs on the train or on trucks and out of the plant once Ford green lights the deliveries.
While waiting on my DH, I am cross shopping Mach 1 Premiums and M4's between now and end of the year. With used car prices declining, I could snag a lightly used M4 (<15K miles), potentially a Competition, for the same money or less. Need a car by end of the year so if I don't have an allocation...
So DH's are purely manual then if we base it off this document. Makes sense since we've seen DH's scheduled over the last week or two after hearing of no production scheduling for Mustangs.
Just be prepared to transition your content since those subjects will only get you so far. A lot of people started up youtube channels for their New C8's and no one watches those anymore. Make sure you are constantly doing new things to your Mustang/channel like adding new parts, collabing with...
Will need a car by November for my move out of town so, hopefully, I can get scheduled here in the next month or two. I'm supposed to be first in line at my dealership based on what they told me. If nothing by September, then I'm pulling my order and buying something else. I've been waiting in...
Ford needs to pump the brakes on events involving the DH. Starting to get annoying and embarrassing seeing Jim Owens show it off and advertise the launch while it's delayed. You don't launch a car that has an ongoing stop build in place.
Dealer called me a week after the order banks opened and said they had an allocation, but without the Appearance Package. They did have the Handling Package available at the time. Ultimately, I declined the allocation because I wanted Blue Ember and I'm happy you made that decision as well with...
Ford "Promised" to give me an update on my Dark Horse by June 25th. They can they clutch up and give me a VIN and Build Date before then, or send me an email on June 25 restating supply chain issues and will check back with me in another 45 days. Money is on the latter.
100% concur with everything about this post.
I get they're PP units, but damn the car should be competent enough to pull harder if Ford is green lighting ridealongs. Plus I feel like the people who drove the car know less about it than we do. Either they didn't get the right people or they were...
