I ended up hardwiring to a spare fuse in the panel. I tested the voltage from the USB and it was not enough to power the Radar Detector (Uniden R3). Also couldn’t find anything in the mirror, looked but not to hard.

Car looks great! Where did you get the spacers?

Does anyone know for certain, one way or the other, if convertible tonneau caps are available?

In looking at the car, to me, it seems like the wheels need to be pushed out a smidge. Has anyone done spacers? Pros and cons of spacers? what size spacers would work, 12mm? 15mm?

I would love to get larger diameter quad tips for the active exhaust. Looks like there maybe enough off the muffler to cut the tips off and weld new ones one…thoughts? How big of tips can fit? I would love for black chrome tips if I could find them…

I tried both the 5v and the 7v, it powers the uniden R3 for a spilt second and then fails.

I tested the voltage coming from the USB behind the mirror, it is 5v…not enough to power the radar detector. Also tested the voltage in a connector under the plastic behind the mirror on the windshield and it was 7v…still not enough.

on iPhone, go into Bluetooth in settings, click on the “i” next to your Mustang and there is a CarPlay toggle

Has anyone hardwired their radar detector using mirror taps? If so, what wires do you plug into. Looking for switched power

North of Atlanta I just checked with Ford chat a few minutes ago and they said my new date is “Your estimated time of arrival is Sep-12-2023-Sep-18-2023 at this time.”

My status checker says “In Production” with a date of 8/4/2023 … On Monday 8/28 September Ford chat said “It has been produced. It was received on Ramp 59, Dearborn Truck, MI. Projected ETA to dealer is currently Sep-06-2023. That date is subject to change.” I am assuming it has been built...

Does the USB port supply enough power (12v) to power a radar detector?
