I noticed my pinch welds are pretty scuffed up as well and I've had the holes taped for several months since new so most likely came from the factory like that. I'm getting ready to install the DIYVan kit but not sure what to do about the pinch welds? It looks like the general recommendation is...
Glad to hear someone who's had success driving their Mustang(s) in the snow. So I would assume that when you do drive in the snow your in slippery mode (or perhaps not)? I believe the other poster indicated that in slippery mode the traction control is off in the Mustang? This is good knowledge...
Did you happen to have it in slippery mode at all? I'm in MI so we get our fair share of snow but thankfully I work from home so I only venture out in the Winter when I have to and then I beg my wife to take her AWD Suv, lol. I heard some say the Mustang isn't too bad in the winter and other's...
What features did you turn off? IIRC there is something like share driving data that I turned off and maybe something else, I guess I'll have to double check this.
Very good info and thanks for the tip on using fine paint brushes. We may even have some of those brushes here at the house as we have two artists in the household (and neither one is me, lol).
Just to clarify when you say 2 coats paint and 2 coats clear are you saying paint it once and then...
So I finally pick up a some touch up paint from my Ford dealer and wouldn't you know it two days later this appears: You might be able to tell from the picture but it's down to the bare metal:(
So my question is how do I best repair this? I have the Ford Atlas blue metallic touch up paint...
Glad to hear that they are holding up well after several months. My hope is that they last me several years as I have enough other things to worry about, lol.
Just wondering if anyone has any special tips or pointers I should pay attention to when installing the DIY kit? Mine is arriving towards the end of this week and I hope to get it installed shortly thereafter. Looking forward to it replacing the tape I've been rocking for almost 5 months now, lol.
Here is a link to the large thread on the issue:

I've had the holes covered on my 24 GT since I picked it up back in April and just yesterday ordered the kit you mentioned.
I went ahead and ordered up a bottle of Pilot as it seems like the best all around choice for me. I really appreciate all the great information and insight you (and others) have provided to me not just on this thread but with all the questions I've asked here about Mustangs. This online Mustang...
Well it does mention celebrating 60 years of a Ford Mustang coupe - almost like they went out of their way to tell us the Mustang is a coupe, lol. Hmm maybe it is a sedan:)
Quick follow up question if you'd be so kind: You mention if I need something stronger to grab a bottle of Xpress. So would you say Xpress is too strong to use for a quick clean after each wash as opposed to the Armour Pilot stuff you mentioned?
Thanks for the reply. It sounds like the Armour Detail Pilot is something I should look into. Also saw that Muguiar's Quik Interior Detailer was getting some love too. Do you or anyone else have an opinion on 303 Interior product line?
