Got my letter a couple of weeks ago on a GT convertible that the tracker says has been in production since 9/20. No change since then. Ordered the car 7/27.
What's the consensus on the information that you get from Ford chat over the tracker?
One way to check if it' oil seeping past the valve guides is to have someone follow you closely in their car to check for the blue smoke as you run the engine up to 5-6,000 rpm in second or third gear and then totally back out of the throttle until at idle. This creates a vacuum that will draw...
Shoulder surgery sucks and is one of the toughest things to recover from with a long rehab process. I had surgery on my right shoulder after I dislocated it about 5x. The first time from a skiing accident but after that it would come out while surfing or jet skiing. I went to Hospital for...
Anyone know what the shift schedule is like at Flat Rock? Do they work 24/7, 3 shifts? Just trying to figure out how many cars a day they can pump out.
I didnt order my convertible with NP, but I'm just curious if convertibles with NP's are being produced because they don't need the roof painted or is it some other part of the package holding them up?
Thats the exact car I have in production now except with a manual trans and red calipers. Love the grabber blue calipers with the VB. I think I made a mistake there. Congrats and enjoy from Jupiter FL!
And I thought my loaded convertible was expensive at $6490.! They raised the GT Perf pkg from $4995-$6500? Wow, I never thought I would see the day of an 80K non Shelby, Mach1, etc. Welcome to the new world, enjoy!
Nice! I don't mind an automatic when they are able to make nice quick paddle shifts up and down through the gears at higher engine rev's, but then smooth around town. Thanks for the report!
I’m with you on driving a manual in city traffic, which in south Florida during the season can be a real pia, but this may be my last chance for a good old American V8 with a stick. Tough decision for sure. Thanks for your input.
Thanks. It just doesn't look like a good time to be ordering a car and maybe I'll just take the automatic GT my dealer has on the lot instead of waiting for my manual.
Are people happy with the automatic? I had a 9 speed automatic in the last AMG MB I had and for the three years I owned it it...
Thinking about my GT that is supposed to be built next week and wondering if the engine assembly plant is in the US or Mexico or wherever. I could maybe chance the car being built during the strike at Flat Rock, but I don't think I would want some disgruntled union worker assembling my engine...
I live in FL and on my Jeep's extended warranty I had to buy the extended warranty through a friends address in another state and then after the warranty was purchased I changed the address on it to my address in FL. Are you able to do the same with the Ford warranty?
