Watch the YouTube channel I do cars and you will see how utterly complex German car engines are to repair. The Coyote is a marvel of simplicity compared to them. Mercedes seem to be the best built followed by BMW and then Audi last. Sold my MB GLC 63S a few months ago after a series of small...
You are probably right about the information I've already given to them, but I don't feel they have the right to know how I operate the car in almost realtime. Don't our phones already collect enough information without our cars tattle-telling on us?
This is the main screen that lets you turn options on or off
When I went to shut off Share Driving Data I got this message;
Do I really want Ford or anyone to know how hard I was braking or accelerating? None of their business in my opinion or this;
Maybe I'm just old and think that all the...
Following this thread has me wondering if it bothers people about all the information this car is collecting on you as you drive? I went into settings to see about connecting the car to my home wifi, but upon looking at all the information that it would be sending to (?), I decided not to do it...
I never saw the vapor blue in person before I ordered this car ,but I think if I had to do it all over again I would choose either red or white. VP is definitely an under the radar color.
That was taken at the Jasper Alabama load-in on Friday morning, too dark of course when it arrived in Florida for pictures 13 hours later. Just to prove it made it to FL, here’s a picture from yesterday.
Sorry, didnt mean to but there is a video on Reddit that has a C1 Corvette rolling off the upper deck of a transporter that is heartbreaking and all I could think about watching them unload my car was that poor Corvette and it's owner standing there video-ing it in disbelief :crying:
Thanks! The dealer I bought it from is near Birmingham Alabama, the hauler was from Naples Florida and they picked the car up yesterday morning and got it to me last night. Shaunessey Overland Express moved it, not cheap, but nice guys. They have a tracker on the truck and you can watch their...
At 12:02 EST, my vapor blue GT, manual convertible finally rolled off the transporter in front of my house. I cant wait to take it for a drive tomorrow with the roof down while listening to that amazing exhaust note. It was about 6 months from ordering until today, but the bigest shock was when...
I said before, if testing or QC is how the mileage was accumulated, that's ok with me. What has my suspicions the the mileage was racked up by the dealer is the fact that in the photos the dealer sent me, all the stickers are still on the car but the plastic is off of the seats which I feel...
True, it’s only a Mustang, but breaking in an engine, gearbox and driveline is the same with any ICE automobile. It’s really only the first 100 miles that you should take it a little easy on it, after that I’ve always been of the opinion that with modern machining you no longer need to baby it...
Good points but I'm sure most of the people with experience in moving these cars around the lots and loading them on carriers and trains have knowledge in how to defeat the transport mode. Thank you, that is a good comprehensive checklist that I plan on using if I decide to take the car. Kudos...
:thumbsup:
26 miles and they still have to drive it to get gas and PDI it, so after that it will probably have somewhere around 35 miles on it before I get to turn the key. In some ways this all seems so silly to worry about if it was driven the way I would in the first 500 miles, but who knows...
While I agree it is what it is, I also have the freedom to tell the dealer to keep it. I waited 4 months for this car, but it won't kill me to not take it and move on to something else, like maybe a nicely restored '66 K-code convertible instead, 🤔
