The only thing I would add is to set it up on a smart battery charger the day you pick it up. These cars sit around for quite awhile before they're delivered plus the batteries aren't fully charged from the factory. I put a Ctek charger on mine the day I got it and it took almost 12 hrs @ 7amps...
I only have around 400 miles on mine but zero problems. The biggest issue for me is there was no physical manual to learn how to use Sync and all its myriad options, but I blame most of the problem on me being old and just not that techy any longer. I owned plenty of of the 1960's-80's cars when...
I was mostly interested in hearing from people with ordered cars than the ones on dealers lots, those I would expect to have a few miles on them from demo rides. Your experience with a demo ride is one reason why I try to avoid buying a car that is in stock. I’m very familiar with your...
I want to permanently keep the engine gages between the tach and speedo but every time I shut the car off and restart it the fuel mileage gage pops up. I’ve unchecked the mileage and tire pressure info box and checked the aux gages box to no avail. Help needed for an old guy who is slowly...
I’ve picked up two cars at the bmw factory in Greer,SC, one was a 2011 X5 diesel (great car I regret selling) and a 2013 X6 50 with the Sport pkg. The X5 was almost flawless but the X6 paint was a mess.. It was silver but the paint on the hood and front fenders was so blotchy that it looked like...
I just got my Bullit knob, but it didnt come with any installation instructions. There was a card in the box that gave a website for directions but when I checked for this part number they said there weren't any instructions for it. Where did you find them?
I just tried to take the knob off...
After driving my ''24 PP vert with 3.73 rear gears, I still wish 5th gear was 1:1 instead of overdrive. The gap between 4 and 5th gear is too large in my opinion so I've been basically just driving it around like an old 4 speed. I have yet to need to shift into 6th while still on break-in...
I remember as a kid trying to peak through the papered over windows of Westfield Ford to get a glimpse of the 64 !/2 Mustang. There was quite build up of excitement for a 12 year old boy until that day in September that had the public and me waiting with great anticipation of the unveiling ...
Thanks, but I think there is nothing like holding a manual in your hands while sitting in the car playing with the screen(s). I love tech but it just came at me like a firehose instead of a nice slow drip.
(Edit) My Jeeps admittedly older Uconnect system was much easier to master
I was having a hard time figuring out all the screens and how to navigate this system. With no real owners manual or separate manual for the Sync system, learning and understanding how to use and navigate it is getting difficult for me at over 70 years old. Plus having to learning a new system...
