The reverse lockout should not turn. I didnāt use a wrench or anything on the lockout. If I remember itās actually plastic so I wouldnāt go wrenching on it too much.
I remember reading that on the 24 the emblem is bolted on with couple of nuts and you donāt have to break the tabs like many did on the 15-23 grills.
In the third step illustration on the right it shows what tool to use š.
Itās not included but I would say itās necessary. They are really cheap. Mine was ~$10 at Lowes.
You will need something grippy so it doesnāt slip and also smooth so you donāt damage the knob. Best tool for that is a...
No I didnāt, the instructions didnāt call for it. The knob is so tight that you would be hard pressed to move it without the strap wrench.
Hereās the Ford instructions
I have the Ford Performance Bullitt knob. It installs easily with a strap wrench.
I would not be worried about stripping it out unless you go full send like a gorilla. Just follow the instructions and youāll be good to go.
Yes, you can get the six-piston brake kit as a standalone option.
The option is $1700 and comes with the red calipers. Blue calipers are optional for an extra $500. Black calipers appear to only be available with the performance pack.
Based on what Ford has charged for factory upgrade kits in the past, I suspect upgrading to the optional six piston Brembo/PP calipers will be an expensive upgrade. You would also need the larger rotors.
If you have your partner code, you can go thru the X-Plan partner site and get access to the Ford build tool with X-Plan pricing.

My car had 18 miles on it when it rolled off the truck.
I attributed most of that to being produced in mid-June and shuffled around storage and shipping lots around Flat Rock until late August when I took delivery. All of the cars in the first shipment my dealer received had similar mileage.
Yes. Use a strap wrench and unscrew the factory knob. Screw this one on in its place. Itās that simple. I installed the Bullitt knob from FP the same way.
Interesting. My old training tool works fine with the new sensors. The dealer didnāt have any trouble after I finally got the correct sensors installed.
The window lowering and raising is supposed to happen.
If you look closely there is a lip, on the weather stripping, around the glass that forms a groove to seal the window. The glass fits under that lip when fully closed. The window drops so the glass does not rub on that lip tearing or...
The noises are completely normal.
Opening the door or the proximity sensor triggered by the keyfob triggers the car to run thru a series of self checks. Things like confirming/resetting the position of several servo motors that control various systems, testing relays, etc.
Basically the car...
Iām curious to know what the technical issue is.
As soon as we swapped out to the sensors from the parts counter they activated with the Ford training tool without issue. The FP kit absolutely refused to connect.
For anyone buying a second wheel set, I would avoid the FP kit.
Does anyone else think itās crazy that you have to do a little dance and hop on one foot to reset/relearn the TPMS.
How hard could it possibly be to put the option in the center screen right next to the oil life reset?
This is the process I followed:
Start with ignition off.
Depress and...
