  1. Clean calipers with PP wheels?

During normal driving conditions, your calipers will likely see temps between 120F and 180F. Any temps exceeding 300-400F are too hot for most brake calipers, risking failure of the operation of the caliper. Bottom line, even if a ceramic coating can withstand that temperature, most caliper...
  2. Sofa King's 2024 Ecoboost Premium HPP

In the same boat, but I think I've settled on the rails. That would make it easy to jack up one side, slide a couple jack stands under the rails, then do the other side the same way. You could easily get the car on four jack stands in under 2 minutes.
  3. Beginner’s Buying Guide: Washing & Detailing Essentials List

Oh, I got my 'stubby' nozzle for my DeWalt blower. This will make it 10x easier to use and way easier to store in the container in the trunk:
  4. Beginner’s Buying Guide: Washing & Detailing Essentials List

Sent it to you PM. I didn't want someone else to use it before you got a chance and risk them going out of stock! LOL. The washer comes with a hose, wand, and foam "blaster", but you'll want to throw most of that away. I recommend the MTM Hyrdo setup I bought (detailed above) as a great...
  5. Is this normal from ford?

    Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
  6. Gear indicator on A10 automatic....

Is it in the current spreadsheet? Maybe you could share it so others didn't have to look it up. :)
  7. Jask pad options

Same experience here, just not as long - only ~18 years. I'm good friends with the dealership owner - one of several family members who own four Ford or Lincoln dealerships. I've found that buying vehicles and having them serviced is akin to building a relationship. If all you're interested...
  8. This is how buttons work..

I can honestly say that I have found zero defects on my DH thus far. 🤷‍♂️
  9. Screen/Infotainment

My Uniden R8 does ... so does my phone when running Highway Radar, Waze or Google Maps.
  10. Explain the 1,000 mi oil change to me

I've owned or leased 15 or 16 new Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicles over the past 18 years alone. I've had some vehicles that I've done first oil changes at ~1K miles, while many have just gone by the IOLM. I've had plenty of oil analyses done by Blackstone Labs. Bottom line, I've NEVER had an...
  11. Rubber piece hanging down behind grille

Sure, and give them the opportunity to screw something ELSE up in the process ...
  12. Missing Underbody Strakes?

Glad you found them. Yes, DH comes with them, with or without the DHHP.
  13. Visor label delete / removal

I'm going to cover up the safety sticker on my sun visor using the mattress tag I ripped off of my Sealy Posturepedic! :cwl:
  14. Audio presets help

Set your presets - they are mix and match (XM, FM, AM, etc.). You can't delete a preset - you can only set a different one in that spot. Once they are all set, I use the left and right arrows on the right side of the steering wheel to cycle through the presets.
  15. Beginner’s Buying Guide: Washing & Detailing Essentials List

Sure, I'll reply to myself, so I don't have to re-write what I already bought. The next item in my new arsenal for washing and detailing the S650 and our other vehicles is on the way: The Active 2.0 pressure washer full OE kit. I didn't really want to drop $1,500 to $2,000 on...
  16. Missing Underbody Strakes?

They don't get installed at the factory. They come in the vehicle in a box, I believe either in the trunk or in the passenger seat floorboard. If you don't have them, then they are still somewhere in the car OR the dealership took them out and never installed them. Did you get your front tow...
  17. Procharger

Yes, but still the stock calibration.
  18. Missing Underbody Strakes?

    All DH include them.
  19. Dark Horse Car Cover

No, I would not remove and install a car cover every day.
