The way I see it the DH with the tremec(and it has or at least had shorter gears in the M1) and 3:73 (which the car in the vid has) should be the quickest combo of the M6 combinations.
I am not arguing which is faster/quicker(M6/A10) but a car that is supposed to have 50hp more and have more torque should not be up to 6 mph slower@201m (which is quite substantial) irrespective of transmission. But let's see when there are more A10s getting som times in and better weather and...
the carbon traps will most likely be there on all V8 models (as it was for the S550 22+)
60-130 1 second quicker is quite substantial in relation( I have seen the dragy postings)
What is interesting(for me) is the MPH, not sure what the DA is but the speed is not that good compared to previous gen. That would be a great indication of the power ( my best according to Dragy 402@~118.2mph([email protected]) with my 18 EU spec GT A10 PP however with a drop-in filter and x-pipe)
But...
I get what you mean but still the numbers given by the OEMs is not power at the wheels :p
Some OEMs seem to give the figures with optimum conditions and e.g. what seems to be the case with BMW is the lowest number the engine will give at peak or they just plain understate the figures for...
Yeah I changed as I misread it first.
I have seen 100s of dyno-videos so I know what you mean as such and have seen many irl :)
But the point remains that they do not advertise the figures at the wheel but rather at the crank.
As mentioned they do "understate" the figures as the number given...
All HP ratings in Europe are at the crank as far as I know, no manufacturer report whp and not done so for the last 30+ years I have been into cars.
Then the difference in the unit of HP an BHP is a different topic.
I believe e.g. BMW rate the output at "worst scenario" hence why in most of...
If you are here Jack(or Mark for that matter)
Thank you for a great video as always guys!
Said it many times before the car(and S550) is under-tired :/, to little rubber for the weight(specially on the front). Heck I will most likely go for 235s next time around on my almost 2000lbs lighter...
For auto X don't you 90% of time have it in 2nd to maybe 4th gear with the A10? Putting it in manual mode the car will not shift at limiter so you can hold the gear. Overheating should not be an issue as it's more shorter runs compared to 20-30min stints on track. 9n the other hand the car will...
I don't care about the number as such, driving an MX5 anything else on the road is faster and quicker 😁
For me it was just to have an understanding of the data presented. Also the EU counterparts will be neutered anyways so if and when the time comes to buy S650 these numbers are irrelevant for...
The previous test are they with or without 1ft?
The 2018 time posted earlier in the thread does not have the statement that 1ft has been omitted. If the 2018 is with 1ft and it is doing 4.3 then this time is quite bit quicker. Or am I getting it the other way around sid not get much sleep tonight 😁
Does this mean the times are without a 1ft roll-out ? "Results above omit 1-ft roll-out..." Omit in this context= 0.3 sec have not been deducted ? Or they have calculated with the 1ft, meaning without 1ft it would 4.5
#MON-Motor Octane Number
#PON - Pump Octane Number
#RON - Research Octane Number
In the US you have MON(at the pumps you measure in PON) and in Europe it is measured in RON.
PON sits somewhere in between MON and RON.
98 fuel in Europe is 93 PON and 95 RON is 87 MON(91 PON)
So Premium is 95...
