  1. Water BCM Recall Question

I’m not a defender of dealers and manufacturers, unless it involved the Bailout. An un repaired recall, outside of the required time frame might mean out-of-pocket repairs later on at the very least. Depending on the recall, and I’m not saying the water intrusion recall falls in this category...
  2. Water BCM Recall Question

I would agree in the old days they never even checked their work. Service is much more dependable now as long as you don’t get the lowest rung doing your oil change.
  3. Water BCM Recall Question

Up Not this. I had it done. They removed the wipers and the top call cover. From then on, it’s body sealer, dry, and put things back together. You know, I don’t care who takes their car in for the recall. If you want to risk damage because you’re afraid of risking collateral damage, then...
  4. Water BCM Recall Question

See if they’ll do it while there. Why wouldn’t you do what should be done?
  5. K&N vs aFe pro

There's a reason the K&N flows better, and it's because it lets more dirt through. It's believed a dirty K&N filter filters better. Oiling it is a PITA. I would go AFE Blue.
  6. Out With The Old - In With The New

That's funny, I did the same: Vapor Blue 2025 AT to Molten Magenta 2025 6 speed. I ordered the first, and bought the 2nd off the lot. Big difference with 20 inch wheels for looks, Brembo's and rear IRS, B&O for at least average sound, and manual for fun.
  7. Active Exhaust- Fake / Speaker Sound vs Real Engine Sound

Of the 12, really 10 speakers on a B&O system does the muffler sound play through? All? Rear parcel shelf? Sub? Or a combo so intricate it can't be described?
  8. Cluster themes - new ones coming from Ford?

That’s because it doesn’t come close to a 3D look. The Normal, Sport, and Track clusters are new first time looks. The retro had a bezel surround.
  9. Cluster themes - new ones coming from Ford?

How about Ford making these clusters look 3D. That would solve the cheaper look a bit.
  10. Illinois Pothole Got Me

You might consider filing a claim with your insurance carrier. It is a collision claim, and probably chargeable.
  11. CEO Jim Farley: They'll have to rip the Mustang's stick shift 'out of our cold, dead hands'

I ordered an automatic, and after 9 months traded it on a dealer 6 speed. I'm 73, and the A10 was just a drag. It's never in the zone when you drive like a civilian. I'm happy now, except when the goof balls stop on my tail in a state of oblivion.
  12. Sorry another question

The handling package could return a few bucks. But if you like the car w/o, then the striping looks good. There's many a car historically where the striping made the car.
  13. Track tested: Dodge Charger Six Pack vs Ford Mustang GT

The Charger is a compromise, not just from the Mustang, but from old Charger-Challengers. As an owner of all but the new Charger, I won't buy one to replace what I got because of the 6, weight, style, lack of prestige, and its cost (pertaining to lack of utility). Charger was pushed into the...
  14. Gas prices [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I’m retired and so gas prices don’t bother me when you’re not driving to work daily. 87 was $4.06 four years ago, and there wasn’t an uproar. It will retreat after the money is made, and as history repeats itself.
  15. How long to wait before waxing?

Agreed, no waiting time anymore. Factory paints are cured and hardened, un like the old lacquers and even enamels.
  16. Water leaking into Trunk

OMG. I’m glad it’s resolved. I would given up, and demanded it declared a Lemon. Interesting since my car sits out the Winter. I once bought the new 1980 four-speed Corvette, and the T-tops couldn't be aligned "any better". The passenger side had a 1/4" gap at the rear, and the driver side...
  17. Brembo Brake Dust

Yes, I did some minor suspension work at 2000:miles, and mucho brake dust. Dust is especially heavy on inside of 20” wheel. It looked worse on my C8 Z51 with black wheels.
  18. Dark Horse with or without Handling Pack

I owned a 2025 GT without PP and 19”. Ride was acceptable, as was my 2025. GT Brembo w/o PP and 20” wheels, 265/35 profile.
  19. Brakes - Antilock Braking System (ABS)

Just thinking about the old days and icy conditions. With a manual you could lightly step on the brakes and have all idiot lights on the dash come on because your engine locked with the rear tires.
  20. Flat tire at under 400 miles

So repair it and drive. Tire dealers said take it’s okay, but manufacturers will always say replace because it sells tires.
