Realistically a V6 would be a replacement for the V8 especially in hybrid form. I doubt we will see another three engine IC lineup like we did between 15’ & 17’.
In todays world the average car costs $37k so a 450hp Mustang is still a great deal. You can bet a base S650 GT will be over $40k as a 22’ is $38,940.
Yes today. Loaded 2016 GT Premuim was under $44K.
Edit: Here is the pricing for the 2017’s.

Well, of course. But this is the 7G forum so I'm guessing most of us on here are talking about the present and future, not the past. I'm planning a 10 year ownership of my 19' and I'm only 3 years in. So many more years with my V8. After that who knows.
But for the sake of this thread, the V8 as we know it is on its last legs. The future for ICE, as limited as it might be, will be small turbo 4's and 6's.
Not sure about India, but China, absolutely.

Well……You can add most of Asia and Australia to the list of converts. That leaves Africa and South America as the back makers. I would say this makes up most of the world. Actually the entire world will continue to use fossil fuels for many, many years to come. They just won’t be used in V8...
And once again we are arguing over ICE vs. EV. That conversation is over. The world has chosen. Over & done,
We are discussing V8’s. Unfortunately the world is speaking again and the talk is depressing. Mercedes taking the C63 from a V8 to a turbo 4 is disturbing. But we still have the S650...
Agreed. The reality is that there is no saving the V8 or any ICE engine. It’s just a matter of when. 5 years, 10 years, who knows. I’m going to enjoy my Coyote today and for many years to come. I’m done worrying about anything I have no control over.
