Just FYI the original Mustang was considered to be a secretary's car and was advertised that way. Ford always made sure that woman were part of Mustang's advertising campaigns.
If this is the case any 2 door rear wheel drive coupe is a "pony" car. Fortunately that is not the case. "Any" car is only applicable to original 1960's two door coupes with long hoods and short tails. The Mustang, of course, invented the term although it was not actually the first pony car...
They can call for whatever they want, it’s not going to happen. We will get what the industry wants to sell us. The entire movement to find alternative fuels for oil had little to do with the environment. It was all about the eventual reduction of easily found and extractable oil supplies...
I found this hysterical!
Buttigieg told Car and Driver on Wednesday how much he liked the Ford Mustang Mach-E EV his security detail was just issued, and noted that, along with the keys, they were handed a gas card—standard issue for a government vehicle...
Certainly not faster than a new M5 ( honestly what is? 😄). But at 7:35 faster than a Taycan and I think that really says something.

Well then forget that whole "making sense" part. Unfortunately Ford does think that way. USA emissions are going to take precedence of Europe's/UK's heart. :crying:
I think we will see a hybrid early on but it will not be a V8. Honestly wouldn't make sense. What does make sense is a 2.7 or 3.5 turbo V6. Plenty of available horsepower and additional fuel economy.
A good thought but not likely. Let’s not confuse ICE with V8. Think more on the order of Turbo V6’s and I4’s. Also hybrids. I think the V8 will be history after the S650. But we’ll still have the power, just not the sound. :crying:
A GT500 is heavy too, but plenty of fun in the twisties. The Tesla's are pretty well balanced and handle surprising well especially the model S. It is really nice to know going forward, at least in the near future, we will still have a choice. Everyone can get what they want.
I'd be more then will to place a wager that the image we are seeing is nothing more than a wooden and/or clay model. I admit all the speculation and conjecture is a lot of fun, but that's all it really is. I'm just glad to see Ford getting back into the mix. Can you say Boss S650!!! :)
