  1. How do we save the mustang?

I get it but the GT500 is no longer available (new). Same goes for the GT350. We have the Dark Horse. This is what it costs. Buy it, don't but it, those are our choices. But to the point I make over and over.....at least we still have a choice.
  2. How do we save the mustang?

And with the CF wheels......But without floor mats. :giggle: :giggle:
  3. How do we save the mustang?

Good point but you left out one important thing…the V8. I do hope we will see a resurgence of interest in small coupes but even if they do they will be four bangers, hybrids or EV’s.
  4. New ZR1 hit 233mph

Yes, that’s been mentioned before but what does that have to go with my post? A Z06 is not a ZR1.
  5. How do we save the mustang?

So I just read through most of these posts and I have an answer for how to save the Mustang (not the name but our car). To put it simply, you don’t. There is no saving a dinosaur. The life of a mainstream two door V8 coupe is coming to an end, period. There is no business plan on the face of the...
  6. New ZR1 hit 233mph

A ZR1 at MSRP? As a past Corvette owner do you honestly think there is a snowballs chance in hell that is going to happen, at least during the first year? After the first year that $175k MSRP goes the way of the dodo. Just like the $59k C8.
  7. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

As someone who worked for a manufacturing giant in the consumer electronics industry for a quarter of a decade I can tell you this. The only reason the Mustang still exists is that folks in high places want it. The constant price increases have more to do with increased costs as opposed to...
  8. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Please tell me that don’t believe any of the BS in this article. I’m not saying that there couldn’t be another Camaro but one that’s significantly less expensive with a V8. That’s a pipe dream.
  9. Enabling Remote Rev in a non-AE car?

OP has an EB which are all automatic. This may help.
  10. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

So I guess now that we have exhausted all of the reasons for the Mustangs poor sales we are going to beat EV’s to death again? 🤭
  11. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Of course it a deal. When you are comparing 2025 to 2025. But the naysayers are trying to compare today's cars to yesterday's. Back when the Mustang was a sports car for the masses. Wasn't it just yesterday on here when everyone was bitching about the price of the Gen 2 S550.
  12. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Not sure about that. Personally I would take a 718 all day long versus a Vette. Now a 718 vs. a Dark Horse, I'm not so sure.
  13. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Maybe you weren’t around in the late 60’s but power and muscle are not the same. A M2? An I6? Really? Power, yes, muscle, no.
  14. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

You certainly make some interesting points. But the reality of today’s market is such that building a profitable two door sports coupe at a reasonable price is no longer possible. People, with the exception of us enthusiasts, just don’t want them. They want SUV’s and pickup trucks. And like it...
  15. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

To be fair there are some really fun cars out there in the low thirties like the Mazda Miata, Toyota GR86, and the Golf GTI. I would consider all of them to have a “soul”. But I wouldn’t trade my Mustang for any of them.
  16. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

Fine. Then find the average price of two door, four seat cars with a V8 engine and manual. Also a “ton” of new cars in the $20/$30k range? Honestly, it’s really hard to take anything you say seriously.
  17. New ZR1 hit 233mph

Even though the ZR1 will be considered a “production“ model I wonder how many folks are really going to pony up $175k for one. And those that do will hardly go bankrupt if they have to pay a $25k to $50k ADM.
  18. 2024 Mustang sales lowest in history of Mustang

The number I’d like to see are “orders on hand”. Ford, for whatever reason, cannot produce cars in a timely fashion. If they could this thread might never have existed. As far as price, it is what it is. Some of us need to get our heads out of the seventies and eighties. The value proposition...
  19. New ZR1 hit 233mph

And as predicted we have folks trying to compare the incomparable. A virtually hand built race car for the street versus a production car. Also using only two factors, albeit important ones, to determine the final value of a vehicle. Both are amazing cars and I’ll bet those with the actual means...
  20. New ZR1 hit 233mph

The astronomical ADM’s that dealers will charge will even be worse than the dumb online selection process.
