  1. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

Will removing the GPF filter from your exhaust cause you to be committing a crime? I do not know anything about European Union or Macedonian laws. I love your avatar, by the way. Great movie.
  2. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

LOL, you get my point, then. My first car was a Duster! :sunglasses:
  3. Back again: stage 2 whipple knocking sound

We have a lot of Whipple owners here. Is this sound normal?
  4. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

Who is that? Was he driving it on a Whipple tune or was it just sitting in his garage waiting on tuning to become available?
  5. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

I did not call it a dud. Motor Trend did. Sorry if I did not make it clear that was a quote. The Car Craft effort with headers and solid cam tells a different story than blaming the traction. That was on a dyno with attempts to make more power. And where am I going? I already got there...
  6. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

Probably a little early to decide that. Nobody has actually tuned any of those yet on an S650.
  7. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

Please excuse the stupid questions, but the fuel pumps and injectors everything else will run E85? Are you running it from a pump at a gas station, and, if so, the tuned car has no problem with the different percentages you actually get at the pump (rarely or never actually 85%)? Does this...
  8. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

Ecoboost Mustang already lays down 255 whp and 330 wtq. Livernois tune puts it at 297 whp and 380 wtq. Given its weight (much lighter than the GT or my Dark Horse), it might beat the Chevelle LS6 even without a tune.
  9. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

Car Craft went on to review separate performance efforts being made by Foulger Ford, Dave Lyall, and Wayne Gapp, and ended with a telling Boss 429 test session on the engine dyno at Crane Cams. When the best pull yielded 386 hp at 6,000 rpm with Ford's updated mechanical cam and dyno headers...
  10. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

Today, the car is revered in most circles, and yet most of us know that as constructed, the biggest Boss was something of a dud in terms of performance. Leading up to the car's introduction, the automotive press was drooling with great anticipation of a "12-second Mustang," but in reality, a...
  11. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

Now tear down that Boss 429 engine, balance and blueprint everything to detailed specifications, with higher compression pistons to take up that semi-semi chamber, run only high octane racing fuel, stick in a huge solid lifter camshaft, long tube headers, and a massive intake and carburetor...
  12. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

They were all SAE gross and at the flywheel in 1969 (the change to net came in 1972). As for "underrated," it can be argued that the engines from that period were often optimistically rated for marketing proposes. Today's ratings are net, so it is arguable that the 1969 ratings, with no air...
  13. Some things I never thought about that I absolutely love in my new Mustang

Arizona has to be the state where more forum participants live than any other state in the nation.
  14. It’s official. We have full custom tuning access via OBD II !

LOL. The Palm Beach guy explained he is going through various settings to tweak things and will be continuing to do so for at least the next year.
  15. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

Yes. :frown: I assumed that a Boss 429 would beat a modern 4 cylinder Mustang, but, after I posted, I looked up the quarter mile time. A lot of these old icons are not as fast as we thought they were. The 4 cylinder Ecoboost is impressive. The Coyote even more so. None of the old muscle...
  16. Some things I never thought about that I absolutely love in my new Mustang

Have you tried leaving it on 3, letting the vehicle cool off quite a bit, and then trying 2? Mine are definitely different.
  17. S650 Tuning link

I hope they keep the Sport mode shifts as-is. The shifts work well accelerating out of turns on a road course. Track mode shifts a lot harder, and drag mode even harder than that. I would kind of like the Normal and Sport modes not to have "stronger shifts," one for comfort and the other for...
