Frankly, in the 80s and 90s when I used to sit and calculate overall gearing with the rear end and rpm at highway speed, the gearing that the 10 speed allows would have been unimaginable back then.
First gear in the Dark Horse A10 is 4:07. 4:07 x 3.55 (differential gearing) = 14.4485

It seems like a half second delay in applying the brakes would be very dangerous.
At 85 mph (a pretty normal speed on the 70 mph interstate around here), the car is covering 124.667 feet per second. You have an emergency. You slam on those brakes. Your car proceeds another half a second, or...

I sold my Audi. It had a huge delay in throttle response. Like if I was at an intersection and punched the gas pedal to the floor, it would just sit there for a while. When driving fast through a turn, I would have to roll onto the gas...
I would have no issue whatsoever running 3500 rpm for a few minutes or so.
If you go to a track day, you probably will not drop under 5000 rpm for half an hour at a time, five sessions a day.
That's awesome (seriously), but you are not running the Ford Performance version (basically stage 1), so it's not really a fair comparison.
I'd bet your tires and so on are completely different, too.
Motor Trend ran the Dark Horse automatic at 12.0 as it comes from the factory.

This is the track section, though. You will probably get better answers in the forced induction section. Indeed, the question is probably answered over there already.
