Not sure I agree with you there. The Dark Horse replaced the Mach 1 which was a special edition. Im not sure if the DH is meant to be a permanent model or not.
Yeah the S550 had a lot of early special editions too though. The 50th anniversary, California Special, GT350, and Bullitt were all released in the first 5 years.
Shelby has been making their own cars for years. None of them can be purchased or ordered through Ford. Its a moot point anyway as those spy photos are of a Ford test mule and not a Shelby. I suspect it's a DH replacement.
I think the mid-cycle refresh will be in '27 or '28. We already know the '26 is the same. I suspect we may also get a DH replacement at the same time. Ford seems to only run their specialty editions for 2-3 years at time.
I guess you consider the 2010 refresh to be radically different. I really don't. There certainly weren't new body panels like you claim. Just new headlights and grille, and tail lights. 🤷♂️
Anyway, we all know a mid-cycle refresh is coming. My topic was about an all new platform.
That's called a refresh. New headlights and taillights does not equal a separate generation. Its still the same platform, and it is no different from the 2018 S550 refresh. Plus I already said the S650 would get at least one refresh.
Ford does not own the Rights to GT350 or GT500 any longer...
Not sure where to start with this one, but there's lots of bad info here.
First off the specialty editions are no different than that of the S550 which ran for 9 years. California special, Bullitt, Shelby GT350, Shelby Gt500, Mach 1, and 50th anniversary.
The Ecoboost and GT standard and...
The S197 lasted 10 years and the S550 made it 9 years. Both models were produced longer than Ford originally intended. The S550 started development way back in 2009 but didn't make it out until 2015. It was also originally supposed to be replaced by the 7th gen back in '22, But the S650 was also...
You're welcome.
I forgot to add that you still get the heat reduction benefits of ceramic even on lower tint percentages (meaning less dark). For that reason I may do a light tint on my windshield.
I have ceramic and can confirm it does reduce heat better. Visually there is no difference. Many tint places in my area aren't even offering standard anymore. Hope that helps. 👍🏻
The OP posted a question about the differences of Ceramic and standard tint. If you aren't a fan of tint in general and don't know the difference between ceramic and standard, why post that you don't like Ceramic? 🤔
