OK, I did try to find an already existing thread on preferred Drive Modes, but just couldn’t find one. I got tired of searching and figured making a new thread isn’t the worst thing in the world. So if there was a thread on this, which I’m sure there must be…go easy on me….I tried. It ain’t...
Here’s what I did….I have a driver profile set on the door on button 1. After I changed the gauges and didn’t save, I pressed 1 on the door and it did not revert to my preferred gauge cluster.
Is that what you are referring to as well? Or am I missing something?
Yeah some spoilers require the module to be removed for reasons I don’t know offhand.
Welcome to the world of making things harder than they had to…lol. I know it well.
Today I reset my ambient lighting and gage colors, then hit Driver Setting 1 on the door. Other than seat and side mirror, I can confirm it DID reset the My Color Lighting, but did not change the gage cluster look.
My guess is that since gage cluster looks change with Custom Drive profile...
Try heat. Either way…you’re going to be there a while.
I didn’t remove the module because the new spoiler just tapes on. I lifted the old spoiler too hard and popped that module tape and couldn’t get it back down. Now the module edge sits high off the trunk on one side…crap.

If you don’t have an eraser wheel, try a hair dryer on it and just keep rubbing it off. Your thumbs will hurt when you are done though.

Yeah, its crazy, but it seams to be more common than people realize. Chrysler did it to make up for poor tolerances. I wouldn't want that sludge in a brand new car, but it happens. I'm glad to see nice bright coolant in my car!
Yes I know they make orange coolant. Factories also add Bars Stop Leak which will change the color of coolant.
and yes, The Mustangs should have the yellow coolant.
And my Prowler’s coolant was murky brown because Stop Leak was added at the factory. Apparently to make up for the poor tolerances of the engine block.
In fact, more auto manufacturers have added Bar’s Stop Leak at the factory than you think.

I just don’t know if it should be that color at such an early stage. One theory I have is…it might be possible someone added Stop Leak for whatever reason. Just a possibility…but you said you saw it change color. Was it ever bright green at any point???

Based on what you have shown in more detail, and what the manual says, you might be OK. Still surprised the coolant darkened after only 18K miles though.
That’s interesting. It’s my understanding that the recall is mandated by NHTSA and Ford has no say in the matter. Signing a liability waiver didn’t seem like an option.
But that said, if that’s how it went down, good for you! Get that key fob and burn rubber outta there before they change...
Your coolant doesn’t look as black as it did in your first pic, and I don’t see any oil sheen. (If anything, oil and water don’t mix.)
Another factor you haven’t mentioned is how many miles on the car.

Yeah, that’s not good. If you brought in the car to your dealer with the coolant reservoir looking like that and they said nothing, they should be slapped.
It actually could be a blown head gasket. That could also explain your coolant loss as it might have been leaking into your block.

I don’t care about coolant change intervals…if mine ends up looking like used motor oil, I’d flush and fill. That looks awful in OP’s pic.
Almost makes me wonder if there’s a gasket leak or something.
Yikes….I guess depending on your package you order depends on the parts availability. some options push the date back.
