We have seen some non-HP DH wheels, that are not the GT PP wheels. I don't mind the GT PP wheels, but prefer the base and HP Dark Horse wheels personally.
Base
They are more angled than the HP wheels, and the lug placement is different, the HP lugs are at the base of the spike, the base...
No I have not driven one. I have watched and read reviews on the Mach 1 ad-nauseam, and have generally seen reviewers praise the A10 in the Mach 1 saying that it is better than the GT for track use(I know they generally perfer the Tremec though). All of my previous cars have been a manual, so...
It is not a DCT, so comparing it to one is a little apples to oranges. As far as the Mach 1 tuned A10 along with the changed torque converter, I have seen nothing but praise for it, including higher end testers. Yeah, most prefer the Tremec, but I have not heard anyone tear it down as...
Im not arguing, just sharing the information I had seen recently!
Edit: I have followed the Bronco fiasco with interest, as I wanted one initially. I know there are early reservation holders that still don't have vehicles. I am sure anything is possible timing wise for the Mustang, but I only...
In this video around 6:40 you can hear him state early summer.
All the information we have heard state that balance out of S550 is end of march, and mid-april is when the s650 production will get started. Late February or early March order banks would support that timeline as well.
I wonder if the Dark Horse with the carbon fiber wheels goes after the Z/28 time on the Lightning Lap. 2015 Z/28 2:50.9 vs Mach 1 HP 2:51.4. The Z had 505 horsepower (@7.0l) and cost 75k+ in 2015...
I would argue a wrong headed comparison is factory vs aftermarket options, but to each their own. I was simply reiterating what C&D said, and comparing factory options, and I already stated that aftermarket would get you really close for far less money. As always, looks are subjective.
Not sure...
Yeah no argument from me there, I am just thinking at 20.1 pounds, they should help the DH put down a pretty wicked lap time in a stock configuration. No doubt you can get wheels about the same weight for cheaper aftermarket.
I read on Car and Driver these are 20.1 pounds a piece, and 37% lighter than the standard wheels, which would put the standard wheels at 31.9 pounds. Meaning the carbon fiber wheels are a total of 47.2 pounds lighter of unsprung mass. Not my favorite look, but I bet these turn some pretty good...
According to the Ford press release, there are 2 different vinyl options. The appearance package adds black roof and 3rd color to the hood stripe.
I still wish i knew if there was a black roof option on non-appearance packages, as the appearance package is only available for the blue hues and...
They did a media release at ford
https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2023/02/08/titanium-and-textures--unique-colors--advanced-interior-material.html
And I still can't tell if you can get black badges and black roof on cars outside the appearance package.
