I'm just gonna say it, if the proportions shown on these mules are accurate, and not simply some camo trickery, I'm digging it. We were all nervous that the s650 would look too similar to the s550. Considering we can tell them apart based on proportions alone, I don't think that's going to be a...
That's what I want, as a designer, I believe you can never have a long enough hood on a front engine sports car, ok, technically you can, but only when you get to like Mercedes SLS AMG levels lol.
You have valid points, that being said, the 0-60 on the gt with the 10 speed is like 3.9 seconds, maybe mid 4s if you get a manual. That's pretty fast. But those import taxes are killer, if mustang gts start at around 60k in Germany, thats a shame. They're in the mid 30s to low 40s in the U.S...
I never said a mustang built on a cd6 architecture couldn't be done, nor did I suggest the cd6 architecture wasn't modular, of course it is. But as it's only been used on 7 seater SUVs, we don't really know just how modular it is. Some platforms have an insanely wide range of vehicle types and...
I hear ya, but with the sale of sports cars dropping substantially, it's harder to make a business case for a all-new, dedicated platform. Perfecting an existing platform rather than developing a new one from scratch is a damn good way to make an excellent sports car, in a fiscally sustainable...
I think one of the reasons why this is the case, it because many of the younger designs coming from these design schools are taught to make everything really bold, and in your face or else it isn't good design, at least according to the teachers. Having visited the Art center college of design...
Agreed, I'm just glad that it doesn't appear to have that massive grille from the sculpture, which is the one thing on the sculpture that I didn't like. If it looks similar to the sculpture in the side and rear, with a front end that looks more like a revised s550, I think we'll be in for a treat.
A mid 2023, model year release would mean Ford plans on releasing it in mid 2022, that's way too early. The latest info indicates it will start production around March of 2023.
Agreed, the background is hectic, then there's the choice to show the reflection in the water. It looks clutter, and pulls attention away from the product, a major no no in advertising as you'd probably expect. I'm also confused as to why Alfa Romeo has pics of this thing in what looks like a...
To be fair, the LED signature would look really cool on a mustang, especially if it looked a little more agressive, which is likely. It's a cool way to reimagine the tri-bar elements.

According to a Ford insider on the blue oval forums known as ExplorerDude, the sketches he saw looked kinda similar to that rendering. He described the design as gorgeous, if it ends up looking like that, I'll have to agree with him.
Regarding the hump in the rear, it's just camo, the s550 had the same think going on when it was spied testing. Regarding the front end, the mach-e is pretty good looking, so I'm ok with the s650 having similar design cues.
You love to see it. I find it fascinating that when we saw the s650 Ecoboost track testing, the front and rear overhangs looked massive, to me at least. But they look much better on this car, which is a huge sigh of relief. Because having massive overhangs is a great way to screw up a design, so...
I think 480-500 is a good bet. They'll want to make it more than the current 460 for sure, but I wouldn't expect a massive bump, especially with stricter emissions regulations.
