It really is a very tough line to walk, because designers had to follow up the very well received s550 design, while also being tasked with designing what will likely be the last gas powered mustang. It seems like they've decided to stay close to the s550 design, with enough tweaks to make it...
That's for your response, I'm make some new sketches in the near future to reflect those changes. Regarding the side of the car, it looks like the s650 will continue to have those two lines on the side that mustang's have had for several generations. But I'd imagine the surfacing is less like...
Is it just me, or does the hood look longer to some of you as well? If that's the case, I dig it. Was actually talking on another forum with someone who claims to work on the camo for upcoming cars. They said the s650 would look like a more elegant, and mature version of the design we have...
Lol, in all honesty, I think they do it because many times, one driver will take a prototype out, bring it back, and someone else will almost immediately get into it. Considering covid can linger in surfaces for quite a bit of time, they may just be trying to take the proper precautions.
I will say this as this car appears to have slightly tighter camo, I hope it ends up looking different enough. Like I hope something about the final design is going to wow us when the camo drops off.
Possibly, but I have a hard time believing Ford would assign their designers to spend a considerable amount of time to develop a new design that was going to share virtually nothing with production models. Sure, it does happen, especially with concept cars, but I think they're trying to tease...
Yeah, I see where you're coming from. But as you mentioned, I think people will develop stronger opinions on both sides of the isle once the camo starts to drop off. I think another thing to take into account is the fact that is seems like we're looking at the base car, or close to it. The gt...
Exactly, it's still a little vague regarding how those u-shaoed LEDs are going to look, so one as you noted was inspired by the escape headlights. The other was inspired by the LEDs we saw in that mystery Ford model that was spied in the background of the lightning ad. Both themes modified to...
I wouldn't be too worried man, hybrid tech was pretty solid from the getgo, and has improved massively in the last 5-10 years. Some of the most reliable cars on sale today are hybrids, the Prius for instance. My family is buying a Maverick next year, and all evidence points to the hybrid being...
As long as the proportions are good, and the general shape is nice, that's what matters. As you mentioned, aftermarket kits will be offered for the front and rear bumpers. So if people don't like how the factory bumpers look, it's not the end of the world.
I don't know man, negative surfaces are a pretty good way to add surface tension. I quite like it. I'd imagine if the s650 had that type of surfacing, it would look considerably more muscular than han what we see on the mondeo, which would make it look more attractive.
Any ideas as to what it could be? As stated previously, I think it's ford's outback rival. Would make sense considering whatever this is seems to have decent ground clearance, but also has a car like front end.
With all due respect man, the roofline, and the way the camo is handled is virtually identical to how it looked on the s550. That's why I'm confused as to why you think the shape is going to change so much.
I'm trying to be nice, but I have to wonder where these people get these ridiculous ideas. It looks a little lower than the s550 if anything. That roof looks slightly lower, which aligns with what insiders are saying.
I know you said it doesn't line up with the fusion, but I just pulled up uncovered pics of the next gen fusion, and the hood lines, and proportions are almost identical to this image. Not to mention the ground clearance on the fusion looks comparable to this pic, whereas it looks way too high to...
