  1. WTF, carpet is disintegrating on passenger floorboard

:-) Probably fine. But then again, I’m not wrapping up dead høøkers in carpet rolls and stuffing them into my Mustang seat. I’ve got a Lincoln with a generous trunk for that. :-P
  2. All 2024 Mustangs have Adaptive Cruise Control?

The struggle is real. When someone launches their beat up, M series peasant-mobile in front of My Rap it’s binary; either she keeps pace or if she’s too close it’s full on anchor drop. If i see it coming I put my foot on the gas and take up the slack to hold it off unless it’s a sea of red...
  3. WTF, carpet is disintegrating on passenger floorboard

What are you doing in this Mustang? WAIT: DON’T answer that. :surprised: Hopefully this is a one off situation
  4. All 2024 Mustangs have Adaptive Cruise Control?

I learned how to address this in my ’17 Raptor in the DC metro area traffic. When the traffic gets busy i usually take control back but if it’s not that bad and speeds are still good I’ll just keep my feet ready to act. Resolution: Move to an area where there is less human overpopulation...
  5. Am I doing something wrong?

Look for the obvious. Are you parked next to or near a bmw? My Raptor hates BMW’s with a passion, and she will balk pretty badly if park near one. How about a prius? You should avoid parking next to them or driving near them. Is your wife/girlfriend or significant other using your...
  6. Vibration

so it’s purely road speed then? if you’re at speed and go to neutral, the vibes do not change? so no collisions, no large pot holes, one salient change - ‘aftermarket’(-ish) half shafts, and shortly after a vibration manifests. This is clueful.
  7. Cutting factory springs?

The thing about suspension is, it’s a system, not an assemblage of individual components. You’ve gotten some really sound advice to not cut the springs. If you MUST lower the car, get decent aftermarket springs from a reputable vendor in consideration of the other suspension components you...
  8. Vibration

AND... did you first notice the vibes after the half shaft install? I’m sure they’re high quality ... Overall, but they’re mechanical parts designed and manufactured by imperfect humans. Mistakes happen. It could be workmanship too. Whenever you have a problem, always look back to the last...
  9. Carbon Filter RWHP?

I got bored in medical school, and gave it up early. I was fine with the curriculum, but I just couldn’t get past adopting customer service practices worse than a cable tv provider.
  10. CarShield Ordered to Pay 10 Mil by FTC

Ouch. I’ve had a few extended warranties, one aftermarket some other mfgrs and Ford ESP. Ford’s ESP has been the best the few times I’ve used it. 1x AC compressor - paid $50 out of pocket, cost almost 900 to repair. one or 2 more-ish. I had a warranty from Allstate once, and it was...
  11. Vibration

so much for that idea... since you’re not feeling it in the wheel, I’d be inclined to look past the front wheel/tire/balance - you’re not seeing the steering wheel oscillate, even slightly, correct? Any modifications? Did you nail a curb, pothole or large object? I was on 410 in San Antonio...
  12. All 2024 Mustangs have Adaptive Cruise Control?

yeah, I guess I didn’t pay enough attention to the option list on my ’24. My saleslady knew only money and nothing about the car - I mean nothing, not even what buttons did what. So as I’m winging my way back home 2.5+ hours, that was nice.
  13. Vibration

what are your tires inflated to, cold psi as measured on a known, trusted gauge, NOT the TPMS readings.
  14. Official Mustang eBike Released

you speak the words of SATAN! Heretic. Burn him! :cwl:
  15. Carbon Filter RWHP?

Here’s the thing about dynamometer measurements. They’re hotly contested on internet forums. If you’ve done a mod, and produce dyno graphs, there will be - several users wanting to know what parts you used - several users wanting to know what model of dyno you used because whatever dyno YOU...
  16. Low Fuel Reminder and the Fuel Guage

Distance to Empty is calculated based on recent driving. If you’re driving on “island time” with very little stop and go, conservative speeds, you’ll get awesome DTE numbers. If you’re caning the car, it’s gonna be less than impressive.
  17. Official Mustang eBike Released

Holding out for the Raptor version with knobby tires.:giggle:
  18. Mustangs and Hurricanes

You and your Mustang need an old priest and a young priest...
  19. Dealer Can't Resolve Backseat Area Rattling

It’s really difficult to identify where a rattle / interior detected noise is coming from. I had a rattle in my ’17 Raptor for a while that really started to get my goat. At one point I got so fed up with it, I took EVERYTHING out of the truck that wasn’t there when I bought it, except for the...
  20. Ford Performance Vehicles, UH WTF?

The warranty on the Ford Performance vehicles is the same as the others in the Ford line up. I still have some time on my 2017 Raptor’s ESP(warranty), and it will run on 87 octane and up. It will run better on 93, but it will run safely on 87.
