I literally just posted about this - #13
Your step 2 did not work in my Dark Horse. Every time I waited and tried the procedure, it failed. I ended up on youtube, and found some consistency in various models in the procedure so I tried some variations of them and the step...
Definitely #FirstWorldProblems but about the only Ford stereo I’ve heard that was worth the $$ was Lincoln’s Revel. My wife has it. I’m not saying it’s audiophile quality, but for a factory stereo, it’s something you can roll with and not be super disappointed in like Ford’s Truck stereos...
Yeah, the more I see that seat belt splash, the more I think it’s Ford’s EV team got recruited to contribute to the electronics and this is their ICE Mustang “F U "
I believe what you’re observing is referred to here as ‘tram lining’, a phenomenon in which the wide, low profile tires deflect off the ridges of road path divots on each side. It can feel like the car is fighting you - and it is. You’ll likely get this on more local roads with heavy traffic...
THIS!
I sometimes find myself turning off the a/c, downing the radio, rolling down the windows and just enjoying the included soundtrack. the gauges are fine and provide plenty of viewable info, including a shift indicator that’s pretty hard to miss.
If you do, be clear on the price you’re going to pay before you ask them to try to trade for the far away car. Have you looked on auto trader / Ford for your build and just changed zip codes to surrounding areas? That’s how I landed my Dark Horse. I looked for all of 15 days, maybe 2 new...
I have yet to put it through it’s paces seriously, but I did briefly catch “Take it Easy” on the radio, and to my surprise I could hear the banjo clearly, which is orders of magnitude better than the Raptor stereos from ’17-’20.
Update:

You can suppress the chime, but the splash screen remains for I think 1 minute and the idiot light seems to remain in perpetuity even with chimes turned off.
Has anyone successfully implemented this?
It does not work on my dark horse.
Edit to add: because the manual is wrong.
1) set the parking brake
2) close the doors
3) press start button, but do not press the brake to enter accessory mode. Do NOT start the car.
4) wait for the seat belt status...
anyone tried just wrapping the enclosure with dynamat or similar? First Raptor Mod I did was an implementation of an F150 forum mod
heat gun to the enclosure ; fit a kicker 8”, wrap the sub in dynamat, amp with a 300w kenwood. Even with the bass roll off it was a definite improvement.

<thread resurrection warning>
I’ve noticed this annoyance as well as the bonkers seat belt chime that will not STFU.
I’ll ask since I don’t see it clarified
Do I need to disable by FORSCAN for this seat belt display and the seat belt chime ?
( I always wear a seat belt, with the exception of...
IDK y’alls experience, but over on FRF the plug into the obd port aftermarket HUD gained a reputation for causing diagnostic trouble codes. For the Rap I think the 19 and later models are more sensitive to interference, network or harness tapping, etc.
AHA! I have several FORSCAN mods to the Rap. I’ll have a look at the Mustang specific data. I saw some posts about the ’24 MY Mustangs having difficulty with Forscan, I’ll do some more studying.
