Yeah, its because more people are buying them :giggle:
On a slightly more serious note, Challenger has.......er.......challenged Mustang closely for top sales the last couple of years. Why did it win this year? Probably for lot of reasons, but two that I think are relevant are that buyers...
Agreed......but you'd think Chris Stevens would at least tell him when he's way off the mark, as I'm pretty sure he is regarding the orange render. Still, "likes and comments" are what drive YouTubers, with accurate reporting way down the list.
Hmmm, I'll listen to what Stangmode says because I know he's friends with Chris Stevens, who designed the '18 refresh and the GT500.
However..........I'm surprised he thinks that "leak" of the orange rendering is anything more than a fan-made render, as that's all it is. Nice to see he used...
Ha! I know what you mean, it definitely appears to be just a US-thing to release the "new model year" in the "old calendar year"........but as an American car fan, I've accepted this as the norm, at least for American cars. Until the S550 started to be sold overseas., that is. Here in the UK a...
Welcome......and congrats on the new car.
Just for reference, S650 will not be using the SUV (CD6) architecture, but will be a heavily updated version of the current car. This change in approach occurred a few years back but, unfortunately, many news outlets are still reporting old news.
No...
Back over in the Mach 1 section of M6G, a question was asked if, as S650 will now likely be a '24MY, will there be a '23MY Mach 1.
Zach at Grainger Ford (if you've not seen his posts, he is a very clued-up salesman with a no-nonsense sales attitude, selling Mustangs at several % below invoice...
The stars could align. I mentioned previously that the New York Auto Show runs from 15-24th April 2022........and as I'm sure you know the original Mustang was revealed at the World's Fair in New York on April 17th, 1964.
However, with a March 2023 start of production, that seems a little...
Unlikely. I'd imagine everything just get pushed back a few months. With a new generation, even one heavily based on the existing car, you still don't want to reveal everything at once. A couple of reasons......firstly, Ford will likely want to base car to prove itself reliable before releasing...
Happy New Year M7Gers!
Thanks for the trip down memory lane, @amk91 The '10 refresh was the first time I actively hunted down the spyshots.......and they were easy to come by back then! The Mustang Source was the place to be at the time and I know my local UK forum members got sick and tired...
Ha, yeah, that one is doing the rounds again. It's a Photoshop based on a Shelby GT that was for sale by a dealer called Bill Shepherd Mustang here in England.
OK....here's an interesting take!
https://fordauthority.com/2021/12/new-report-suggests-s650-ford-mustang-wont-arrive-until-2024my/
"It's been believed for some time now that the 2023 Ford Mustang would represent the launch of the new, next-generation S650 Ford Mustang. However, a new report...
Here's a question.......and I'll admit it made my head hurt thinking about it. A couple of websites are now repeating this info that production of the '23 will start in March 2023. On one FB group, a quy working at Flatrock said it was "BS......do you really think we won't build Mustangs for 3...
No, not an S650 Photoshop........but what an S650/550 based Lincoln could look like. I don't hate it.......and gives an idea of what the larger grille might look like.
Whilst I'd love to see a Lincoln coupe, I'm sure there wouldn't be sufficient sales to justify the development.
I think Ford were stung by releasing info on the Bronco so early. That, along with supplier-leaked photos meant it felt a looooooooooong time before the product was actually revealed. Add in production delays and some could say the product already felt old on the first day of production.
I'm...
They can still make a '22MY car in 2023................the VIN will still state it's a 2022 model year car. So, if these new dates are correct, they'll likely be building '22MY cars in Jan/Feb 2023 before the change over to the '23 in March.
The '20 model year was a long one, Oct 2019 to Jan...
Good find, thanks Chris.
That would make the '22 a long model year (Jan 2022 to March 2023) but then so was the '20MY. So, 3 months longer than we thought........not terrible but, yeah, could mean another couple of months before any spyshots :(
Still, if this means a clean launch with minimal...
I remember ExplorerDude's comment.......I think it was the first time someone had indicated they'd seen a rendering/styling proposal. And I did think it was ironic that dealer stated only the roof/rear window would be interchangeable, as that goes against E/dude's comment. As you say, time will...
