  1. Best drive mode for highway speed passing

I think that way on my bike; a mapped zx10r with about 200 rwhp, which sounds like it’s not much, but it’s good enough for a mid 9 quarter mile and a top speed ... well, it depends on how chunky the rider is ;-) 200 is certainly doable at about 180 pounds for the rider. And, not even $20k in it...
  2. Another 2024 GT Mustang, what did I do?

Pictures. Or you really bought a prius. I have never stared or even casually looked at the posterior of a goat, so I will take your word for it on the color.
  3. New White Mustang

Good to see we have a strong contingent of gym rats here ;-)
  4. Recaros

I wouldn’t go out of my way for the Recaro seats. You lose a lot of features, and cough up more money. They are unquestionably a good track seat. But, I cannot get in and out of the car easily without moving the seat every time. It’s a little thing, but it’s EVERY time you drive. It would...
  5. New White Mustang

He said he picked it up. Mad respect. I can’t really get a full lift on the Dark Horse without messing up the front splitter.
  6. New random damage to my car

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I had a much bigger tree limb fall on _me_ about 2 months back. I was chain sawing it off a dead tree; it had already split but I didn’t see the split, so when it broke it messed up my left arm pretty good, including some tendon damage. I literally just...
  7. Ford to offer employee pricing (below invoice) to all US customers April 3 through June 2 - "From America to America"

I’ve never looked at Teslas but have heard similar and a lot of states have franchise laws established to protect stealerships. Ford was trying to twist stealership arms to agree to the Ford EV model which would have been closer to the Tesla “experience”(?) It seems very few people wanted...
  8. Ford to offer employee pricing (below invoice) to all US customers April 3 through June 2 - "From America to America"

I was looking at this, I think it’s shady, but this is what the dictionary has to say: price-gouge verb [with object] mainly North American English overcharge (a customer) for something by sharply increasing its price, especially in order to take advantage of sudden high demand: the website has...
  9. Ford to offer employee pricing (below invoice) to all US customers April 3 through June 2 - "From America to America"

So really it’s just a well hyped inventory reduction on stock. Catchy ad, but quite a bit misleading.
  10. Ford to offer employee pricing (below invoice) to all US customers April 3 through June 2 - "From America to America"

Yeah, I want to see someone get this on either a decked out GT / PP or Dark Horse. Really, I wish you luck and hope for success, but I’ll be surprised if Stealers don’t apply their own tariffs - aka ADM.
  11. Normal A10 Transmission Temperatures?

You may upshift and downshift with paddles either in drive mode or manual mode. In manual, you control upshifts and downshifts unless you are stopping and going too slow, and then the 10R80 will downshift for you, so that you don’t try to take off in too high a gear. Good on you if you can...
  12. Normal A10 Transmission Temperatures?

You probably don’t even need to go that far. @npole is correct that unless you’re in manual mode, the paddles are only in effect for a limited time but for what you’re trying to replicate, the Auto is probably going to be better.
  13. Road Trip Kit - What would you bring on a 1000 mile (each way) road trip

I’m not able to address the sidewall question, but I’m sure there’s an online calculator somewhere, but I am able to say that the kit fits in the 2024 wheel well, jack, lug wrench and all. You have to move the inflator, but was able to shoehorn a plug kit in there.
  14. Road Trip Kit - What would you bring on a 1000 mile (each way) road trip

In all seriousness, if I’m road tripping in a car, I want a spare. Not a tire inflator, not a patch kit, I want a real spare tire. Not that I don’t want an inflator and good patch/plug kit - I have them, but I’ve actually had tire blowouts, and holed a tire on the tire edge. I also tried to...
  15. How long are you willing to wait for a set of rims with a custom finish before moving on?

I’ve had a few sets of wheels, some bike wheels, some car wheels. My new BST carbon fibers for the bike took all of.. 10 days? I picked up 6x wheels for my Rap and that was a little longer. 1st 4 came in about 6 weeks out, the other 2 had to be shipped from Japan. Apparently by ship using...
  16. Whipple supercharger help.

It’s going to depend on what you use the car for. If are going to throw on slicks or drag radials(maybe), you’re changing the traction equation pretty dramatically and placing a lot more stress on the drive train. On street tires, you’re going to spin quite a bit more; in this case, the...
  17. Transmission failed

That’s interesting, may I inquire, what issues are the F series 10R80’s seeing (he asks with some trepidation)?
  18. Stealthbox fit

That looks great, I’m betting it’s a nice improvement too.
