Fair point, but so was the original charger. When the charger became a sedan, everyone was upset at first, and then it basically saved the dodge muscle car, and keep in mind, the four door charger was the only version of the car that existed. At least with the mustang, you'll have the option of...
I find it very possible, not guaranteed, but highly likely. I mentioned how that teaser from a few days ago looked like a sedan. Everyone thought I was nuts, and who knows, I probably am. But there could be something going on there.
It's a real Halloween 3:Season of the Witch situation with the mustang right now. That movie is now seen as one of the best in that film franchise, but was hated upon initial release because it has nothing to do with the other films in the series. But it was only made because of the Halloween...
With this being so close to Pebble Beach, and the announcement coming tomorrow, I wonder if Ford will openly talk about this stuff, or better yet, show it off.
People aren't allowed to be excited or passionate now? Personally, I find it cool that they're getting excited over learning about something so many of us find to be mundane.
Perhaps, but most of the initial testing for vehicles occurs within Ford's sealed off proving grounds away from the public eye. Public road testing often happens after public reveals.
So they either screwed up the wording, or they're revealing something they've already revealed 😆. Kinda a head scratcher any way you slice it. Given the audience for the pebble beach car show, high performance car enthusiasts, teasing other high performance variants at the show would make more...
None of this really adds up. We already know all of the details, pricing, availability, etc, and people have seen it up close, so a reveal makes zero sense. Not to mention, I can't stress this enough, this is very clearly not an s650. That's a sedan all day. So either this is a sedan teaser, or...
Ford is killing my sanity with all of these special edition teasers of a new s650 using covered images of cars that very clearly aren't s650s 😆. It's such a small detail, but it's driving me nuts. The green image clearly isn't a production design, and this teaser image looks more like a mustang...
I will say I like the 60th anniversary s650 more than the 50th anniversary s550. I adored the louvered side glass on the s550, but everything else about it looked kinda tacky compared to this.
We need like a gentleman's car meet organization where it's just a bunch of chill people who love cars. With a zero tolerance policy for the macho BS. No fighting, throwing punches, doing burnouts and street racing. None of the toxic shit. You break the rules, you're kicked out and your car is...
The mustang code for two oncoming mustang drivers is to floor it mid corner, lose control, and crash into each other. I jest, I jest. But somehow had to say it 😆.
Who knows at this point, we're both just spitballing here. Time will tell. Monterey car week is coming up in less than 2 weeks. That was where they surprised everyone with the GTD last year. Maybe they'll discuss whatever this is at this year's event. No-one knows but Ford.
I suppose it depends on how blue ember is created, as that color has some pretty intense color shift that isn't super far off from this idea. I believe it can be done by a robot, I haven't heard of blue ember cars needing to be specially painted by humans.
RTR quotes around $10,000-15,000 to...
I think most of us have seen the new RTR color shifting paint option, and most of us love it. I'm just saying Ford, if you're listening, bring back that style of paint, specifically the purple/teal color shifting color, to the s650. I don't care if it's like a 5 grand color option, I'll pay it 😆.
