But if this was a GTD chassis/suspension mule, wouldn't the track width be the same as a GTD? Or can the GTD's suspension work with the normal s650 chassis dimensions?
Yes, the one that charges 32 grand per semester for a 4 yr program. Was like "Fuck that". That was back in like 2017 as well, and they told me they generally increase their tuition by a few thousand a year. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was north of 40 grand a semester now.
In other words...
Prototypes generally flow in one direction dude. They tend to be crude at first, not really representative of the finished product. That describes this prototype with all its exploded screws and Frankenstein bits. All I'm saying is brands don't do that. They don't go from production ready...
I've literally visited the art center college of design, spoken to many car designers in person, and followed the industry for decades. I know Ford like the Pope knows the Bible. But sure, I'm wrong because you want to be condescending for no reason 😆.
Nah, there's no widebody, no wing, even the decklid is different, the dual intakes are just crudely bolted on here rather than smoothly integrated into the design like on the GTD. It wouldn't make much sense imo to make the later test mules of the GTD less production accurate than the earlier...
Probably this GTD lite we've heard about which apparently will start at around 100 grand or a little less. Likely running the GTD powertrain with the normal S650 body/chassis as we expected.
Looks like a GTD sans wing. Which is quite interesting by itself. The logical conclusion is Ford is testing out more affordable mustang models below the GTD with that rear mounted transmission.
There's realistically no reason for Ford to spend more time and effort to remove the rear wing if...
It's just trading one barrier of entry for another man. An intense application process, and/or a very high price tag both achieve the same basic thing, limiting demand and availability. Even if the GTD was open to order for anymore, 99% of the people here couldn't afford it. The 1% who can are...
I am trying to figure out why Ford is benchmarking not just one, but multiple c8s, a stingray and a zo6. It was actually so important for them to get a zo6 as soon as possible that they got a preproduction model from GM in a prototype trade.
This was around the time a Ford gt prototype was...
Apparently it's gonna be a more affordable coupe that prioritizes styling and driving dynamics over outright speed. Hot take, I really like this idea. I know some see it as our duty as enthusiasts to despise all things EV. Personally, I love interesting cars regardless of what powers them. As...
Oh dear... they got him fellas. For those who don't know, this is a very common trend. People create an AI image of a new car, or find an interesting rendering and say NEW CAMARO 2026 THE SECRETS BIG AUTO DOESN'T WANT YOU TO KNOW!!
Unless it comes from the brand's official page, or is info from...
I know a lot of us are mad at Ford right now, and in some cases, justifiably so. But as sad as it is, this really isn't Ford's fault. If you're spending hundreds of millions of dollars to develop a product for a dwindling audience, the only real way to make a feasible business case for that is...
I see where you're coming from, but you almost went full baby boomer, never go full baby boomer. It was an accident. I understand why you'd be upset, but screaming and swearing about it isn't gonna change the situation, or the outcome outside of making it worse.
