I'm hearing someone claim this was its own thing, and reports have said there was a mid-engine mustang shown that wasn't based on the s650. Someone in these comments mentioned how you hear the presenter saying "One more thing" and a different car behind the crowd being revealed in the video.
I don't hate it, I just hope this isn't the only mustang concept dealers were shown. Ford keeps teasing and hinting at a more affordable mid-engine car. I need that in my life.
That being said, I like the aggression of this. I especially like the unique surfacing of the fenders and quarter...
Except multimatic is already pretty tapped out building all the other race cars for Ford. The bronco DR, and s650 gt3/gt4.
I proposed that maybe, whatever this is ends up being built in flat rock, alongside the s650. Because Ford has nothing else that can be built there currently, they can only...
That sounds like 400 grand if it’s true.
More like 70-80 starting if this is what I think it is. C8/Lotus Elise/caymen pricing most likely. Could be wrong. Ford was testing c8s, both a stingray and a zo6 awhile ago. Most people thought they were benchmarking them against a high performance...
People are just tired of religion and politics being thrown in their face. Super religious and edgy atheist types are both annoying as hell, as are people who feel the need to advertise their political views constantly. It's like, shut up already, I don't care if you're part of the democratic...
This is an official Ford design sketch. The resolution is terrible, but what I can make out makes me think of a modern version of the mustang 1. This was from 2021, so we'll see where it goes.
C2 my dude. Prob the best architecture Ford's ever had. Super flexible, underpins most of Ford's award winning products these days. If Ford can make it work for a 20k truck, they can make a profitable 25k car on that platform.
AWD gives you a massive selling point other small and cheap sports...
What is tram lining? Is that where minor surface changes or road imperfections cause the car to dart in various directions more noticably than your average car?
I actually had a very similar thread awhile ago. Basically, the idea I came up with was creating a more practical, and affordable mustang offering that was compelling, but didn't step on the toes of the s650.
The idea I came up with was a smaller hatchback style mustang styled after the fox...
Unfortunate but not surprising. I would really love if Ford just bought Shelby outright for like 50-100 mil and turned them back into an experimental division that Ford could use to test out radical ideas and designs without jeopardizing their brands image. Something that returned the Shelby...
You're right, meant to say GT3. Calling it the mustang Cobra is definitely cleaner than saying gt350/500. But then Ford runs into the same issue of having to pay to use Shelby's naming conventions. If Ford wanted to use the Cobra name, I feel as though that would be perfect for a c8 rival or...
Interesting if true. But something to keep in mind is dealerships have no idea what kind of products are in development, they're like you and me. They can guess, but aside from a few very rare occasions, they have no idea what's going on behind the curtain. I've heard dealership employees claim...
Here's the thing, Ford keeps elevating mustang performance. The Dark Horse would be a good Gt350 replacement if mustang performance remained stagnant. Here's how I see it, the s650 gt is more powerful and impressive than the s550 gt, the dark horse appears to be better than the mach 1. Whatever...
To be fair, s550s with the 10 speed were already doing 3.9 0-60 runs. This car has more power, and puts it's power down far better than the s550 apparently. That's according to That dudeinblue who mentioned how it just hooks with no issues. I'm also hearing the 10 speed is more responsive when...
