I believe The Pill is referring to the fact S650 may adopt the "edginess" that was lost in productionizing Kemal's initial renders.
Interesting and, if true, this would point to S650 using a similar hybrid setup to the Aviator and Explorer.
In this design, the electric motor is placed between the engine (the Ecoboost V6) and the 10-speed auto. The battery pack sits in the space under the rear passengers.
Well, I guess April 15th is the last working day before Mustang's birthday on Sunday 17th........but I'm still not holding my breath for any S650 news.

I agree, the second linked article is repeating old assumptions, namely that S650 will utilise CD6........it might use some CD6 components, but it's expected to be a heavy refresh of the existing D2C platform.

I hope the actual design doesn't change much as, in my opinion, the S550 has the best interior of any Mustang to date.

It was an interesting term he used......"launched" next year. Considering he then went on to say press drives would happen soon afterwards that, to me, refers to "launch" as being "Job 1 start of production". And he could have been referring to Australia in particular, so a US "launch" could be...
