  1. Bill Ford on preserving the Mustang into future generations

I believe autonomous driving will be like full EVs, something that takes longer to take hold than we thought, and even at max adoption, there will be a segment of the population who's not interested. I see a future 50 years from now when most people are being shuttled around in electric...
  2. Bill Ford on preserving the Mustang into future generations

Making the quality and design world class is where the money should be going imo. Improve the performance a bit, but let's be real, pretty much every variant of the mustang is good on power staying where it is. The suspension and brakes are also pretty excellent. I'd mostly just see them...
  3. Bill Ford on preserving the Mustang into future generations

I'm convinced a lot of people on car vids are either braindead, or trolls. You'll literally see a vid for the reveal of an ICE performance car, hear the sound, see the exhausts, and people will be like, is it electric? Saw this on the reveal for the Genesis supercar, but I've seen it with GTD...
  4. Great News for V8s and ICE Vehicles in General

I guess it's more fitting to say it's a mobile power source. But whatever it is, it can power your house, job sites, campouts, etc.
  5. Great News for V8s and ICE Vehicles in General

I agree with a lot of what you're saying, I think it's important to move forward, and keep innovating in meaningful ways so you're not caught flat footed by foreign competition. I personally believe Ford has the right way of doing that with this new universal EV platform. Some like a 90k...
  6. Great News for V8s and ICE Vehicles in General

To all my friends worried about innovation, it's gonna be ok. Not having to rely on government programs and subsidies has actually really benefited Ford's future EV plans. Instead of making kinda mid-tier EVs that lost a lot of money, Ford rethought literally everything for their upcoming...
  7. Great News for V8s and ICE Vehicles in General

This makes sense. The best approach is the blended approach Ford is taking. It's not a matter of "Everything needs to be an EV" or "EVs are terrible" the truth is more nuanced. ICE and hybrid applications are better for larger vehicles that do a lot of towing, and hauling, and for passion...
  8. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

But yeah, here's another pic showing that full car. It's the gt3 just without the wing, but it still looks cool.
  9. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

It could end looking like the gt3, but seeing as that's what the GTD is, it looks like the gt 500 successor will be more toned down.
  10. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

That's the gt3 s650. Still cool, but not something going into production.
  11. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Couldn't agree more. Maybe Ford is thinking they could occupy the space the c7 used to with this new cobra?
  12. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Probably nothing, but this was front and center at Ford's reveal for their new headquarters in the machine/modeling section. We're over on another site discussing other clay models we spied that could hint at future models. This could just be a fun project, or it could be something that...
  13. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

From a few other angles in case anyone wants to see more.
  14. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

Yeah, it's hard to say, one minute it sounds more like a proper supercar, and the next it sounds like an SUV with supercar levels of power. All we know is their CEO said it's not a truck, or a bronco, but its own stand alone supercar model not based on an existing car. I'm really hoping for...
  15. Ford to reveal all-new road-going race car on January 15... GT500 successor?!

It's hard to say, as a gt 500 wouldn't be "all new" necessarily as it would still be s650 based and likely repurposing existing mustang performance components. That could be it but the articles almost seem to imply it's this standalone model, but we'll see. There are rumors this could be a...
  16. Official Adriatic Blue Metallic Mustang S650 Thread

We'll get there eventually. As a younger person, it's very much a case of having wanted a mustang most of my life, but needing to lock down the essentials first. I've waiting probably 25 years to buy a mustang, I can wait a few more.
  17. Official Adriatic Blue Metallic Mustang S650 Thread

I'll probably be looking at a mustang around the time the refresh or the next gen comes out. I really hope they keep this color until then.
  18. Faster GTD prototype testing at the 'ring

To be fair, if you have enough money to buy an exotic, there's nothing stopping you from buying an expedition ot truck so you have plenty of space, and then just towing a sports car on a trailer behind you for once you get to your destination.
