The platform (D2C for S197, slightly reworked for S550 and S650) is more or less the same⦠However, Ford did some substantial improvements (IRS) and offered an entirely new driving experience with the S550. They did improve enough to call it a new Mustang although the engine was almost the same...
I'm German but here popular cars are much more expensive as they are more often involved in accidents...
Also important: how many miles the insurance has to cover. On average my BMW 330d is more expensive than an average 911. However, my 330d has to be insured for 50000km a year. A 911 on...
I think you're wrong on this one. Although I'm not a fan of the execution most buyers aren't car enthusiasts like everyone on this forum. Most just want a decent V8 Mustang. Who is even aware of the fact that the car could've been called a major refresh? Hardly anyone. It's a new Mustang with a...
Maybe the two screen layout can be modified? A housing would be nice but I doubt that anything in that regards will be available and in a way it suits the interior...
However, what about a better screen with much smaller bezel?! It would reduce the overall size and therefore maybe fit in much...
I was aware of some of the stuff in the article but didnāt know Harman/Samsung owned so many brands. However, Iām not an expert in this segment but I always liked high quality audio. BMWās H&K system is top notch for the price. Fords B&O in the Mustang is garbage. Mercedes Burmester is pretty...
One reason might be that all manufacturers upped their game⦠The BMW H&K system is pretty damn good for ~$800. And the B&W systems and such in the luxury sedan segment are even better but they cost between $3000 and $6000.
Risking the warranty and putting in extra work isnāt sophisticating for...
I'm at a point where I can say that there are no better infotainment controls than BMW's iDrive controller. I donāt dig these vertical screens at all but I also donāt see many improvements in putting buttons around that thingā¦
A fitting seating position is when your wrist is comfortably resting...
No but every price increase before that was...
Gt350 had a more premium interior, a unique engine and some exterior changes. Mach 1 had almost the same price, no 5.2L flat-plane V8, some left over parts and the same lame interior...
I like the Mach 1, I think it's a great car that is just...
https://arstechnica.com/cars/2022/04/ford-delays-switch-to-android-automotive-until-2023/
I posted this last year but I'm confused now... S650 MY24 will have some form of Sync4 and they also made sure that everyone knows that stupid animations were created with the Unreal Engine... Woho...
They are real... just look at the different exhausts in the different pictures... apples and oranges⦠In this threat/picture the single exhaust is what you get without options... The EU Prototype (Dark Horse?!) has a PEMS system installed.
With all the pictures thus far we can almost 100%...
'Love that lil thing!'...
That would be in all seriousness the biggest car you could buy in Germany if it were available... It's most likely on pair with a GLS or an X7 in this picture and these cars are huge as fu.. Noone drives them here... Besides, the Rangers that are sold in Europe look...
That's the point. The GT350 was way above the Mach 1, Bullitt or DH. Flatplane V8 with 5.2L is something special, Shelby name included. 5.0L with minor upgrades is not... The only thing special is the inflational price... GT350 for 65K is and was a steal. DH for 65K+ is not, nothing special...
100hp per Liter isn't anything special... Just look at AMGs four banger... 2 Liter 400+hp...
However, it is somewhat special if we exclude turbo charged engines.
At the end of the day it's pure marketing...
Outlier is a better word. I'm not a native so sometimes I'm struggling to find a more suitable word ;)
And I would love the S650 to do sub 4 seconds reliably. I just doubt we'll see these numbers. I'll gladly admit that I'm wrong if the numbers come in.
'Marketed as...' the S550 was marketed with 460hp and on the dyno they do 410-420 on average (wheel, I don't know why anyone would measure anything else)... Being 'capable of sub 4 seconds' is also a very vague phrase... Marketing at is finest š
The Tesla Plaid does sub 2 seconds*....
*in...
Maybe but just do some research yourself... There aren't any reliable videos out there showing anything but >4 seconds... The S550 has what, 420hp (wheel)?! There is simply no physical way it can compete with an AWD 480hp+ car like the M3 and that one does <4 seconds.
There are so many...
Then keep looking
2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt 0-60 mph 4.4
2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Premium (Handling Pack) 0-60 mph 4.3
Those are the current numbers. Maybe someone somewhere in the world did get better numbers but on average 4.3 seconds is the time to beat. We'll not see anything...
We do get sequential indicators but not the ones US cars will have... There was a video a couple of months ago that showed the sequential indicators on EU cars. The bottom part (bottom quarter maybe) will be sequential... It looks weird and I would replace them... Better than what we have today...
