who you gonna trust? daddy Doug who got to look at the pre-production model designed to show off every feature found on all levels of the 2024 Mustang. or the order guide for the GT which explicitly states start/stop is not available on the 5.0
why stop there? frankly im tired of all these kids with their fancy direct fuel injected V8's and their fancy hydraulic braking systems, people should grow the fuck up and be real men, get a bicycle. None of this fancy electronic assistance, just you some pedals and wheels. that's all you need.
from my experience i find that people who talk about the lack of manuals these days seem to think that
manual transmission = super hard to drive car
instead of what it actually is
manual transmission = inconvenient for most people since a majority of the US lives in cities.
Target audiences change, ive been to plenty of cars and coffee's to know that the real '60s muscle car guys are still muscle car guys, they just moved on to the 350 and the 500 or to resto/restomod and kit classics instead.
yeah unfortunately the world is very different now than it was back then too, chances are good a lot of that was in the works until 2020 happened. while i doubt they would cancel it all together, i believe they will at the very least miss the MY 2024 deadline for the GT350/GT3.
its probably more than just the exhaust, if it IS the GT3 then its going to have a lot of mechanical changes compared to the standard S650, so they could have just slapped a standard body on top of the test bed.
i mean obviously take anything people say regarding leaks and inside sources with a grain of salt, but that doesnt mean they should be ignored entirely. who knows, it might not be the GT500 their testing, maybe theyre doing trial runs of that potential GT3 road car Jim was teasing last month...
true or not, i personally would love to see Ford go all out and use their new partnership with Redbull F1 and make the new king pony a 1k+ hp V8 hybrid. i doubt they would, but it would be awesome to see.
