If the cost was reasonable I'd look at a 30 something HP Ford boost. But otherwise I'll leave it stock.
A stage 1 tune on a turbo engine usually gives good results, but my limited results with NA street engines doesn't encourage me.
Yep, old fart here. Isn't it great! (apart from getting out of a recliner chair, or bed in the morning)
I'll finance if it makes financial sense, but otherwise it's cash.
That's what all those early sacrifices were about.
I hate lane assist with a passion. When you're driving on a two lane rural road ( like most of our roads) I always approach a corner either on the fog line for righthanders, or next to the centreline for left handers. this gives the best sightline through the corner and sets the car up to clip...
That remine
That reminded me of a story. We imported some UK cops a few years ago. One of them booked a biker for having a tinted visor (it was daylight at the time).
The problem was, they're illegal in the UK, but fine in NZ.
I can only imagine the interview he had with his supervisor.
I looked at DIYVan, but $US94 was a bit steep. So I had some 3mm black plastic sheet that I cut to size, heated and bent it into shape and secured it with marine adhesive and 4 self tapping screws.
I filled the actual hole with blocks of polystyrene, and the shields deflect debris and water...
If the lotto angel smiled on me I'd get a GTD. Just for scarcity value as much as anything else.
The big catch is, I doubt there'll be a RHD version. So that means another house where they drive on the wrong side.
Starting to be too many zeros in the equation.
Manual boot lid here too. 1st world problems, therapy is helping.
Seriously though, the auto tailgate lift with foot activation was excellent on the last car.
Same here with the wipers. I've turned off rain sensing, I think I'll cope with manually selecting wipe speed.
When I looked at the colour chart. I didn't like Grabber Blue much. But when we went to the dealers other branch and saw it in the metal, we were sold. Especially SWIMBO (she who must be obeyed), she told me "no more grey cars".
And, it does get lots of 'love the colour' comments.
Either Ford is still building Monday and Friday cars, or I'm getting less fussy. But I'm quite happy with the build quality of mine for the price.
The biggest WTF I've had was the holes at the bottom rear of the front fender liners.
All fixed now though.
I thought the PZ4's were OK. Had them on for 3 years. But I did prefer the quicker, more positive turn in and quietness of the Mich PS5's I replaced them with.
But the biggest surprise was the improvement in fuel economy averaged 2 US mpg better, driving fast, lots of overtaking, on the highway.
At least these don't show the brake dust like the black and copper wheels on the last car.
I cleaned them yesterday and was surprised at the amount of crud that came off, they didn't look that bad.
