I don't have a workshop manual so I'm not sure if the gauge and warning use the same sensor.
If not, it's probably a warning sensor failure.
Another point, for oil level to trigger a pressure warning on a stationary car, the level would have to be lower than the pick up. That's a lot of oil...
Noises are hard to locate in a drivetrain, you need to get the vehicle in the air and hunt for them The best tool I used was a stethescope with a long probe screwed into the end. Putting that against the suspect area made the job much easier.
A long screwdriver is almost as good, just hold the...
When I was doing some research prior to buying the car I saw a YT vid showing the removal of the carbon traps. I forget who did this, but they dynoed ech step.
So, the traps showed minimal gains for them. Highflow filters ditto. But running without the filter housing lids did show a reasonable...
I've mounted a Gen 2 on mine, being cheap, I used the V1 mount. But I discovered a little trick.
It's mounted right under the camera housing, and I thought it was a bit obvious to thieves, cops, etc. So I had a dark tinted glass phone screen protector and I tried sticking that to the screen...
Ercolano was the closest we got to Naples, and that was bad enough. Most of the streets there would be considered one way here.
I get the point of civil disobedience, and it probably works where your drivers are aware of what's going on around them. Here....not so much.
Check tyre pressures, there maybe a rear alignment problem, or maybe you're not used to a car with a pointy front end. (Suspension, that is)
I can't say mine feels like the rear wants to go walkabout
It's strange, I felt quite comfortable from the almost the first few kms on the first trip 17 yers ago, despite driving on the left all my life. LHD cars feel more natural, shifting with your right hand etc.
And I'm sure there is a genetic component in Italian driving. Either that or I'm just a...
I was wondering about the handbrake and being in park or not. If both are used, there's no way the car could actually move forward. The trans is mechanically locked, and so are the drive wheels.
I have to agree. I've done 15000 - 20000 kms in Italy from the Stelvio down to Sciacca in Sicily and both coasts. Autostrada driving is stress free compared to our terrible roads in NZ.
As long as you stay aware of what's coming up from behind, and realise that the 130 limit is just a...
It's one of the reasons I bought it. There may be a fair amount of Tech on it, but underneath it's a front engine, rear drive, basic beast like all the cars I worked on back in the day.
And being a US car, there's a better chance of parts being available from Ford or the aftermarket for many...
I just watched a YT video from Carwow with a drag race between a US spec Mustang GT PP and a Beemer M2. The Beemer did the Ford like a dinner, mainly because the Ford driver was struggling with the auto in manual mode. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that what drag mode is for?
I doubt that...
Here's a few;
Lane assist, 2 button presses in the Ford, menus in my VA cars.
TRC/ESC, Ford = button press, VA = menus.
Exhaust, Ford = favourites button, VA = menus.
Stop/start, both have buttons.
Steering, Ford = button, VA = button/menu/select.
Climate, Ford has visible buttons on the screen...
A lot of car guys have no idea how mentally fast even ordinary bikes are, let alone the hyper bikes.
Even something like an MT09 (847cc) will do 60 in under 3 secs and 10.7 quarter.
