the Mach 1 already beat the 350R on a track (according to Car and Driver's tests), and the Dark Horse has more power and downforce than the M1, so it's almost promised to beat the 350R again
yeah, sadly it seems the sound of the Voodoo is about all it has going for it. ive seen a few GT350s come in for new engines, but i really couldnt tell you what caused their failure. Most of them have been warranty and because they're hand-built, Ford really hates the idea of a tech tearing down...
go for the Dark Horse. less expensive, newer tech, infinitely more reliable and proven engine, same great Tremec TR3160 in both, and you're only losing 750rpm off the redline but you have a more usable power and torque curve (probably).
it's probably not the best idea to use oil additives on modern engines. goodlettjr and erocker said it best, it could mess with the viscosity of the oil, making it harder to get into journals, VVT solenoids, or it may not have enough of a film to ride on and cause premature wear. the best way to...
i finally got a VIN and production date for my Dark Horse! i think it got assigned today because Ford's tracker says it doesnt have a date yet and OASIS doesn't have it yet
personally, i think those base M1 wheels are some of the worst and most boring design ford has put on a wheel. i would rather go with steelies before those.
as far as i know, they're only coming with Pirelli tires, so they might as well just ship them out on wheel dollies with no tires, would probably be just as effective
looks like you only get the oil cooler in the driver's vent if you get the Performance Pack, which makes sense.
Sharon who just rented a 101A EcoBoost while her Nissan Rogue is in the shop for an engine isn't gonna need or notice the oil cooling
in fairness, it was made to be a one trick pony, but it can do that one trick better than just about any other pony and does it for anyone with a powerful enough PC and for free
oh definitely, it's even worse to try to do that in a program called Engine Simulator, mainly because it requires so much work to even make an engine. you need intake and exhaust flow samples, deck height, cylinder head chamber volume (?), intake runner cross section, piston dome, and so much more
something i completely forgot to mention until now is the battery
Ford must've heard our cries about underpowered batteries, because all 2024+ Mustangs will have BAGM-48H6-760, a 760 CCA AGM battery. a welcome jump from the old 590 CCA battery
