  1. Whipple or jet ski

I'm well aware of the zero % finance traps, where the application fees are as high as the interest would have been. But we are not stupid, and it helps that my wife is an Accountant and Financial Manager. I get the European thing, my father never had hire purchase, never lent or borrowed money...
  2. Whipple or jet ski

It's bit different here. Not many people invest directly in shares, many use managed funds. My superannuation was basically a managed fund, so I just continued it after I retired and threw more money in.
  3. 5 Reasons Why The Base Mustang GT Is Better Than The Darkhorse!

Didn't Chrysler grab that name first?
  4. 5 Reasons Why The Base Mustang GT Is Better Than The Darkhorse!

Yeah, but he had to fit 7 litre engines after Ferrari thrashed the 5 litres.
  5. 5 Reasons Why The Base Mustang GT Is Better Than The Darkhorse!

Funny that, the car was as big as the city. (Nearly) There's a mindblowing car museum in Torino. I couldn't imagine the value of some of them.
  6. Whipple or jet ski

I completely understand what you're saying, but we are very financially disciplined. Our system works well, we have done very well out of the Amex points too. It a shame that recent generations aren't taught more financial wisdom. But here's something strange. I bought a new phone, the provider...
  7. Which setting is your favorite one for the adjustable exhaust?

Auto quiet early morning, then sport. I have been using track more when I'm driving slow in town.
  8. Ceramic coatings

Still sitting there unused. But there's not much left.
  9. Low Coolant Issue

Bingo. When it cools coolant is drawn back into the cooling system from the expansion tank. Check it when cold.
  10. Whipple or jet ski

They work if you pay them off every month, which the companies hate. We haven't paid card interest in 22 years. Same with cars, we took 36 months interest free on the last one because our investments were doing very well diidn't want to take money out. Not so much now, so we paid cash for my...
  11. Ceramic coatings

I've always gone DIY, waxing, polishing, buffing etc. Had PPF done on our last 4 cars too. We got my wife's new car ceramic coated as it lives partly outside, now I'm a convert. It's guaranteed as long as we own the car, a good wash and dry off keeps it looking new. I did the Mustang and now I...
  12. Experimental Brembo Brakes Retrofit Kit

The Brembo factory option for my last car was just 4 pot calipers and 390mm rotors. Rear brake was the original. It still worked very well, but did have a greater front end weight bias than a Mustang.
  13. Whipple or jet ski

If you get the whipple not everyone around you will hate you.
  14. 2026 Mustang Pricing, Photos, Specs & More

Adriatic Blue for me by a country mile. Then Vapour Blue and Grabber Blue third. But only because I already have it.
  15. Loss of power at 6,000 RPM 2025 GT

That's pretty fast for wheelspin on a bike, fun isn't it?
  16. Our S650 HP compared to the C8.

Yes, I have driven an EV. It was reasonably quick once out of eco mode, it was eerily quiet and handled well. But totally soulless. I might have considered one as a town car, then the stories of gross depreciation and ridiculous insurance premiums hit and I scratched that idea. Diesels are OK...
  17. Classic Car - Classic Song

Truly a fantastic song, but I want to be in my comfy chair with a glass of nice red, and zone out to it.
  18. Blue Crabs and Mudbugs

I love most seafood, but the prices here are mental now. Bluff oysters cost me $43 for 12. Crayfish ( lobster) don't ask, get a mortgage. Paua (abalone) ditto. You wouldn't think we're surrounded by some of the best fishing grounds.
  19. Classic Car - Classic Song

I'm also a big Kylie fan, especially the ad for Agent Provocateur. My wife even gave me a free pass. Not that fussed on her singing much though.
  20. Loss of power at 6,000 RPM 2025 GT

To simplify, torque is the force moving a certain weight certain distance. Power is the same but over time. The thing that always got me when we were studying these things was, why 5252 rpm on every engine?
