I used to be a big 6 cyl fan, but now I prefer V8's. Don't know why.
What really bugs me with modern cars compared to old stuff, is that you could easily tell a 4 from a 6 from an 8. Now in many cases they all have that horrible whooshing sound when you rev them. Probably from all the filtering...
That's because the high pressure areas on a "hood" are at the front and then again at the rear. Which is why the cowl (rear) has always been where the intake for interior ventilation has normally been.
If you want to learn to control oversteer, buy a rear swing axle design car. early VW's, Skodas, Corvairs and for those tired of life Porsche 930 Turbo. ( Not strictly swing axle, but same effect)
Make a will first.
It's interesting to watch drivers losing it on track, you can tell the one's being saved by stability control, the car is reacting differently as the brakes are being applied selectively to straighten the car up. Whereas a good driver is controling the slide with steering which looks much smoother.
But it has the same problem as battery vehicles, low energy density. High pressure cylinders are still bulkier than fuel tanks and can't be shaped to fit in unused space as a fuel tank can.
And, once the climate cult has been discredited, we'll realise refining existing technology is the smart...
I may have a bit more experience in inserting things in tight places than you.
After all, I am a qualified mechanic, so I should have.
But I don't find it a problem, pulling out is easy. Putting it back in really needs two hands.
One to hold the stick at the top to apply force, the other hand...
I've done half or more of the break in on the highway with all my recent cars. Mainly because we bought them from distant dealers.
But, if you vary your speed, give it a rev from time to time and let it overun to draw oil into the bores a bit more, it'll be fine.
I find it hard to measure volume by ear, maybe mine are stuffed. But I can tell the different tone between modes. And a witness I trust tells me it's quite loud. From in a building.
If the question was phrased in another way it might have made sense. But "intelligent and forward looking"?
We're just here to talk/write shit about cars, and lie about how great ours are.
It is probable that car forums will die, because guys who don't know whether they're Arthur or Martha and...
How old are you again?
War, large or small, is primal, a part of the human psyche. My Grandfather survived the slaughter in Sud Tirol, Italy in WW1. You know, the "war to end all wars".
My Father missed WW2, because his Father didn't want him to face the same and immigrated.
I've seen (or heard...
