@n_123 and @Wiley Marmot ...... did you guys vary the speeds during break in (say the first 250 miles) did you change out the factory oil for full synthetic at some point? Did you start to get on the pedal after say 500 miles. A quart in 3-5K? I'd be freaked.
@schmeky7 ..... 2024 GT 5000 miles. I can see no movement on the dipstick no matter how closely I look, so I'd say no visible oil consumption. My 2014 was the same, even at 30,000 miles.
Read the fine print regarding modifying your engine instead of listening to gossip. Ford does NOT have to honor ANY modifications done by their dealers (who are totally independent of corporate Ford) whether using a Ford part or not. The dealers (stealerships as some on here have said) will tell...
@MikeE55 ..... that is oil. Blackish is fuel or carbon. Whitish is condensation. That is definitely bluish and is from oil. You are right to investigate.
@SweptVolume ..... "brilliant" as my UK family members "across the pond" from me' would say and a salute to your common sense - which apparently isn't shared by some. Here in NA posts from the USA to Canada have shown a failure to cover these holes usually results in damage. Service techs now...
@Gregs24 ...... actually I read your post carefully. Several thoughts, you have already had some stone chips and the attendant rust. Is your intent to continually monitor and touch-up the future chips? If so, what is your time worth. My time is worth more than a piddly 200 pounds on a very...
@Gregs24 ..... respectfully disagree. That leading edge is the start of your main frame pinch weld. Too many reasons to list - all of which have been recorded at length elsewhere. A second major concern is debris (dirt etc.) gets trapped by the new under carriage body skirts and creates a rust...
@Alan Applegate ......yeah, the coffee and cars crowd is killing our insurance premiums. Just too much power for some fools......and covering your plate? That looks real good in court! Dumba$$.
Third Mustang - 2024 GT Premium Convertible. Like all before - stored from end of November to May 1st in a non heated garage with a soft cover on it. Washed and waxed before storage. Started every three weeks and run to full operating temperature. Run heater to move coolant through it as the...
IMO looks like about 4 euro cars were glued together and haphazardly at that. Want to make it look better? Easy, make it look like a Mustang! Seriously, it's a frickin' chevy, you can't make it look decent.
The strakes should have been installed by the selling dealership as part of their PDI. They are the ones who dropped the ball or maybe the original owner didn't want them installed. Yes, $199.00 is a bit steep but a service order has to be generated, a tech has to put the car on/off a lift and...
@Corrotto28 ...... I have owned three mustangs now and never had problems anywhere near that. Of most concern to me is the welds missing. That could lead to very serious later damages. It is a unibody type vehicle and all of the pinch welds are critical. Trade it back to the dealer for a new(er)...
@IFFV68 ....... I'm pretty sure that deal would be a felony burglary in at least 40 states. Way to go, some times the good guys win one! BTW, when you said - "what did I do?" Man, IMO, you did a great thing. The boss caught me looking at a "loaded-up" 2025 Mustang convertible in magenta red. I...
Don't even have to drop the mufflers to paint them. I painted-out the mufflers on my 2014 and it looked great. I taped-off nearby body panels and frame members with some cheap painters' plastic sheeting from Dollar Store, took about 15 minutes a side. I used high temp paint, two coats and...
