@jmatero .... there is a good video on how to wire illuminated plates to the dome light. I think the author said there were two types of illuminated plates that required slightly different wiring but the video was great - there are 4 black wires on the illuminated plates. You run two to a ground...
@LouG....when my family had our heavy equipment business with shop dyno etc. you could flow test an air filter in place by using a computerized electronic anemometer. This gave a very accurate rating of the draw through the complex filters of heavy equipment. The family guys who built high...
@Byote4 ...... for your peace of mind and my interest I went to my friends son's shop tonight. He is head of HVAC at a local hospital. We rigged sensors to the underside and top cover of OEM Ford air box covers for a 2026 Mustang GT as well as the Roush clear plastic covers I had on my 2024...
@AZ_Ryan ....I included you as you added a "like" to ZX's comment and as you, from your general posts, appear to like accuracy I included you in my reply to ZX. As for a condescending remark - when someone refers to my ability as "napkin Mathemetics I take offense. Yes, there appears to be and...
@ZXMustang and @AZ_Ryan ..... ZM - hit the pause button and read - of course most of the aftermarket air boxes are counterproductive. Of course the type that completely alter the 2024 - 2026 Ford OEM twin induction with grille cold air intake snorkles by installing all manner of alternate air...
It makes no sense to me that there could be a 20 degree difference in the intake line between the air box and the engine air ports - UNLESS - someone had removed the snorkles that direct air in from the grille fronts. Also the physics of air ducting wherein a smooth intake line (Corsa) vs a...
@Byote4 ...... as said you will get no measurable gain from changing the intakes. Ford oem is the best you can do without major modifications. For LOOKS I bought the Roush clear top intake boxes with AFE NON oiled air filters. I have also ordered the Corsa completely clear box tops now that they...
The inspection by my installer is nc. Of course when I ask him to wash it using his foam gun and special wash mitts - he throws them away after each wash - I would expect to pay. I get what AZ is saying but I tried to pick my detailer carefully and there has to be some level of trust.
@Nik691 ..... don't be too hard on yourself. I'm an old geezer and what wisdom I have to share was often at the expense of f-ups when I was younger! Live and learn young feller.
@2024_Night_Mare and @AZ_Ryan ...... being moderately ocd I contacted Feynlab about the warranty. Was there anything I HAD to do? Was there anything they RECOMMENDED..... Response - nothing I HAD to do to ensure warranty. RECOMMENDED - take it to the detailer once a year to have him look at it...
@Nik691 ..... as an example of what I said earlier - I bought my wife some new chrome rims for a new SUV she bought last November. The aftermarket company RTX makes super high quality rims ..... nevertheless I had the installers check run out and truing on the bare rims before tires were...
@2024_Night_Mare ..... the Feynlab V3 coating that was done to my 2026 Mustang and Rims was warrantied by Feynlab. The detailer sent my VIN, his company installation number and the date along with some other data. I received a warranty registration confirmation email from Feynlab. I don't think...
@Nik691 .... yes, but once the tires are on the rims you have introduced several variables. The installers should have checked the rims when they were "bare" - before installing the tires. Trying to now possibly balance a bad rim is not a good situation. TBH I'd remove the tires and ensure the...
What did I miss. You swapped the rims and now there are shakes. Any decent tire shop can test and SHOULD test the NEW RIMS for run out (side to side movement) and rim truing (out of round or in layman's terms up and down movement). It is a insanely easy test to do. Conti Pros are great tires -...
@ChitownStang ...... we all get passionate about our 'stangs and there IS from time to time a bit of good natured "ball busting" on this forum BUT that, in my opinion, is what makes this forum special. We actually give a $hit about our Mustangs - so the converastions can get a bit heated from...
@BimmerDriver......I guess everyone charges based on their perception of the purchaser's ability. My parents used to live in a pretty exclusive condo in Fort Lauderdale. My dad swore they paid 20% more for every service call from plumbers to HVAC techs.
@OldCoastie ..... bought a 2024 Mustang GT Premium Convertible. Full disclosure I traded it in on a 2026 to get a couple of extra options but I did not have one problem with that car in two years. Its fit and finish was as good or better than anything in its price range. So no complaints from...
@AZ_Ryan .....I too have applied a product, the Feynlab "self-healing" which a friend balked at the idea. The stuff does work as under heat it does micro flow. Let's not quibble over words - nano technology vs nano coating? Really? Yes, I am, in effect, a rep for ceramic coatings - now - as...
