I'm 6'6" and have had two teenage girls (both about 5'7") in the back. They had the chouice of riding in an SUV or the back of our convertible. Drive to cottage top down drive home top up. Their heads did not touch the top. They had enough leg room (they said) . The boss was ok in the front, I...
@OldCoastie ...... awesome - you can still add a custom plate in your car color with vin number and HP (one style) or a number of other styles. IMO it really finishes the look. I don't have a picture of the new one that just arrived for my 2026 but I believe I have one from my 2024 to show as...
@OldCoastie ..... great pictures. Can't see your strut tower brace but if you don't have a plate on it to cover the holes where Ford installs them on some models you can get great custom plates at The Anchor Room.
@Stanzi . First, thank you very much for the prompt reply. I really appreciate that! I am with you 100%. Like you, I ordered the RBG illuminated sill plates. My parts guy said I think you'll have to wire them into the dome light circuit , which he said was easy to do but then said - you never...
@Stanzi ..... I have purchased lightable door sills (like I had on my 2024 GT) for my 2026 GT that does not have them. Did your son find the FORSCAN or FDRS/IDS code required to initalize them and if so, could you please post it?
@jmatero ..... I agree with your list. I traded my 2024 GT 401A for a 2026 GT 401A which was built this February 24th. The only difference (deletion) on my 2026 was no lighted Mustang sill plates and no charging plate in the front console. So, your list was what I got with my 2026 401A package.
@Jim Hendrickson ..... your car looks awesome. TBH I had not thought of that combination. I had the space gray on my 2024 with vapor blue paint so when we ordered the 2026 we went with that because we liked the look of the 2024. I haven't taken a picture of the car showing the contrast of the...
@Gene3 ...... you will likely get a lot of answers as member's tops are subjected to varied conditions based on storage and location in the country. Like yours mine is garage stored. I live in a northern climate where I store it from late November to late April. I have a lot of experience...
@ausomtiger ...... I see you also got the carbon fiber intake runners. I assume, obviously, there was no drama with the air sensors etc. when swapping them? I really like the clean look.
@Byote4 and @Lou G .... gentlemen, I hope you find this post interesting and informative along with brother forum members as well. I now own and have installed Ford OEM air box tops and fiters, Roush clear air box tops with AFE non-oiled filters and Corsa clear tops with their provided brand...
@Wiley Marmot .....looks fantastic. I want to have my rocker panel skirts and tghe black parts of nthe rear of my 2026 GT painted to match the body color.
@Just Phantom .....it should be built soon. They are likely putting your package together as we speak. The more options the longer it takes to gather them. Some options can delay builds a while. You have some "in demand" options that may cause a slight delay. You should be getting a "built"...
@Byote4 and @LouG ..... My Corsa clear air box covers and what I believe are AFE filters just arrived from CJPony in Nevada this morning. We are going to test potential heat transfer which I predict will be zero. Then I will install them. When the boss (aka my wife) takes note of a car part...
@IFFV68 ..... yes, my 2024 GT Premium converitble came with illuminated sill plates on my 2026 GT Premium convertible the sill plates are basic plastic. I like my 2026 better. I can add illuminated sill plates and charge my phone with a cable, so I don't miss the charging pad.
After recent lengthy discussions about ceramic coatings and past discussions about waxes I thought I'd share my process for protecting my paint on my new 2026 Mustang GT.
Background: I have lived on the water most of my life and had many boats with custom gel coat colors, particularly black...
