Is someone with a Challenger or Charger REALLY complaining about the age of the chassis in the S550/S650?? I mean doesnt your chassis go back to like the 80s or something??
And your complaining about the Coyote being a 14 year old engine design?? - and you have a pushrod motor??
The Coyote...
chassis development has come a long way. I daily drove a 19 GTPP1 A10 - and its not scary if you know what I mean- I mean if you hit a slick spot it will step out on you if you are flooring it off the line - but for the most part it is useable power
You hit the nail on the head on asking why no carbon fiber wheels for these tests....
I can attest to the carbon fiber wheels making a difference....
The GT350R even dynos higher than the GT350 due to the wheels .....
lol I get you there … I used to be a classic car guy and compared to those… the s650 is a Rolls Royce and Ferrari combined lol
the last 2 I owned … 67 Shelby GT500 and 56 Ford with a built 428 CJ
The S550 was a pretty big leap over previous Mustangs - and I have no doubt those coming from the Fox Body based platform- oh its going to be night and day difference - and I do mean HUGE difference in a positive way ...
I think the OP meant is- its not that same jump going from S550 to S650 -...
yes that too. Way too many people who take advantage of the system. I have family in city government and … the stories … unfortunately … the stories I could tell would make you cringe……. And unfortunately there is actually more incentive for people not to fix it then to fix it ..
My favorite...
Also I would say the most recent inflation was a combination of multiple things including government spending and the supply chain issues…
inflation is ok as long as real income keeps up along with expendable spending…
when inflation hits 9% and real income (income adjusted for inflation)...
Debt is ok if you are getting a good ROI on that debt.
The problem is … at least here in California we waste a ton of money on stupid stuff …
I have no problems for paying for programs that help the less fortunate if they actually do what they say which unfortunately is rare.
I have the same issue as you- I seem to get the 2 year itch
I'm having a problem finding a car I would want to replace my current car with - that is without spending 150K lol (teen driver and 2 daughters in private school have restricted my budget lol)
Yes... there is actually a thread over on the S550 forums about this now....
The issue with the GT350 is that there were a few issues with the first few years... combined with the fact that there are some rules you need to follow with VooDoos
You can treat a Coyote like a Toyota Camry- and it...
GT500 all day /every day - for me
But really - the best thing you can do is go drive each one- they are going to drive like VERY different cars - I mean night and day different -
OK sorry to do this.....but while I love the idea of an S650 as a daily and a car I would keep for 5-10 years-...
On the S550 forums- Ford is denying warranty work if they can find any evidence of the vehicle been on the track- regardless of whether the failure happened on the track or the street-
So I would delete this thread- and make sure you dont leave any evidence of your car ever being on the track
Yes- but there is a thread right now where a guys transmission went out- and they are saying because they could find evidence that the vehicle had been on a track at some point at an HPDE event- they are denying the warranty ..... even though the transmission failed on the street ....
It went...
