Yup, happened to me. I Googled at the time and found others on Reddit, etc. who posted similar experiences.

The quality of these cars leaves a lot to be desired. So many issues from body fitment to tech to straight-up...
TPMS sensors mount to the wheel at the hole where the valve stem goes, then tire mounts onto the wheel.
Theoretically the car should automatically eventually pick up the signals from the new sensors eventually.
I swapped (Ecoboost) stock wheels to a set of Mustang GT take-offs (the 18" black...
I watched OP's video and the valve only flaps closed then immediately back open momentarily, like a fraction of a second.
Probably does not make a significant difference in actual sound output, and I suspect might be some form of valve self-testing on startup (just like on some cars how ABS...
Yes, splitters are small thin pieces of plastic and going for $300-600.
They should be like $80-150, if you see eBay/Amazon prices for splitters for other/older models/cars they tend to be around that range. The actual material cost of a long strip of ABS plastic is probably even much less.
According to Ford, the diff fluid doesn't need to be changed until 150K miles (at least on Ecoboosts).
Just doesn't sound reasonable, but that's what they say. What gives? Any experts want to chime in?
(Former V8 owner, driven all the new American V8s ~30K miles each) the Ecoboost is a great "sporty daily". Stylish, decent MPGs, fast enough for normal traffic.
To car enthusiasts, it's definitely a "secretary's car" rather than a true "performance car". The lack of transmission control/paddle...
Possible to drive but definitely a safety issue and may not be legal since you technically can't see your speed. I was more missing the gas gauge and TPMS, but eventually mine self-resolved after I let it sit all day. Hopefully a one-time glitch that will get patched in a future software update.
I'm ready to get flamed since this is a Ford Mustang forum after all, but I agree with you, the quality of these Mustangs is not there, and there have been various issues. For not even a total refresh but more of an S550 facelift, Ford ought to do better. Especially with these price increases...
I'll let it sit most of the day and try again later, then maybe try pulling the fuse, and unplugging the battery. Seems to be different than the multimedia screen lag/frozen/blackout issues (various Ford models and both S650 and S550 Mustangs apparently).
Found another Reddit post of my same...
Left screen didn't start up today. Turned car off and on again and still didn't function.
~1K miles, ~1 month old.
Was not in the heat, parked in a garage in temperate Northern California. No issues last time I drove it.
The 2nd time I started the car up today with the black screen, it gave...
By "stumbles pretty badly" do you mean power drops off, then there's a pause before it catches the next gear and you suddenly get going again, with a slight jerk?
I do experience that at times (Ecoboost).
It's unfortunate Ford hasn't figured out these transmissions, as I had the the GM version...
If you locked in a good price, they are likely trying to shake you off, just hope you get annoyed by waiting and pull out of the deal and go elsewhere, whilst they sell your car for higher profit.
Why don't you ask them to show you this supposed "recall", and let them know you did your research...
Got another vLinker and tried again. Same thing. Logs don't give any more info. No other errors of any sort. Totally stock car.
I could paste the whole log, but most of it is useless, just "Read block #1... #2... No changes in block 1, skipped... No changes in block 2, skipped..." until:
(ERR)...
Several months ago I tried pulling that in a '24 Mustang Ecoboost convertible and it didn't seem to do anything. No error messages, nothing, like a placebo as far as I could tell
What was the outcome of this? Does pulling fuse 29 fully disable ESC/AdvanceTrac? I've also noticed this car holds back even with stability control "fully disabled" from within the cabin. I'm surprised more people aren't complaining. I guess most people don't push these cars to their limits (on...
