It doesnt matter what the companies want (according to you) If the consumers won't buy them or buy them for a price the companies can make money on. Most companies sell EVs at a loss due to mandates forced on them. Now thats all been reversed and companies are getting away from EV strategies...
EVs definitely are not the way to go for most people and depreciation on them is way worse. I'd take a gas powered truck over an EV truck any day of the week. Also, nothing is more annoying than to hear an EV parking with that stupid hum noise they make.
My previous car was a 2020 charger scat pack. I loved that car. The v8 sounded awesome and it had a lot of torque. I understand the turbo 6 will be faster but man they sound like crap to me. Plus dodge isn't exactly known for reliability outside of their hemi platform.
