When you have a service writer at the Ford dealer I purchased my Ranger from, tells you that you cannot X the tires on it.... Sometimes I wonder about some folk's IQ.
Directional and staggered tire setups require different rotational setup. What's been said is fairly close. Where things get...
There will be choices perhaps, but not for performance vehicles. In fact, some formula racing rules have essentially outlawed manuals, as shifting requires only one hand on the wheel.
So, you have a few choices. Keep what you have, pay even more, drive some less exciting vehicle, or quit...
Why don't we turn this into a real brawl? Previously, I alluded that a day would come when you couldn't buy any vehicle with a manual. I'm of the opinion the date of that prediction is literally upon us!
When it comes to Mustangs (the last of the pony cars!), Ford's bean counters are looking at...
This is about as clear as any:https://tiregrades.com/tire-maintenance/pressure/tpms/how-do-tire-pressure-sensors-work/
Ford's use in tire and Hondas use tire rotation sensors (as examples). The former works well, the latter doesn't!
Opinion: You don't have to street race someone, just to prove a point. Nor should you, any more than thrashing your ride when the cops aren't around. Justifying these acts otherwise, opens one up to ridicule and labeling, and reflects on everyone else driving the same model of vehicle. I resent...
I now own two vehicles which use the 10R80. The 10R80's adaptive learning (fuzzy logic, and please don't call it AI!) can be smooth as glass or as brutal as Attila the Hun, all reliant on how you drive. While you can duplicate the latter with a stick, the former is nigh on impossible! Enough said!
Most (not all!) small battery chargers are based on measuring the voltage. Once you start the vehicle, the battery voltage will hover around 14 to 14.7 depending on the SoC. So any connected charger should just shut down. In any case, I'd be more worried about the charger, than any electronics...
Let's see here. Battery dead, so we hook up a battery charger with Start Boost built in. Then we twist the key to spring things life, and we're worried about a max 2 amp trickle charger? Me thinks not!
Technically speaking, Ford could publish an on-line specific owners manual based on the VIN, rather than a generic one like they do now. For example, the window sticker is VIN-based, why not the manual? As in, why do I want to know how to program the memory positions when my VIN-specific vehicle...
Good read Skye. The main issue is that most folks who store their cars for several months, just don't go through the requisite maintenance routines. At least now, they know what should be done.
I wonder. Some of the defects herein, aren't really issues I'd care about. For example, the stop/start not working? Geez, most folks, me included, want the darn thing permanently disabled!
I must be getting too old. I believe vehicles should be driven and properly maintained. Sure you can store vehicles for very long times just like museums do. However, once it sits for 2 or 3 months or longer, you just don't get in it, and speed away. All this makes me wonder how much extra...
I truly wonder about the realities of installing a Whipple, or any other forced induction system, on a street vehicle? I agree 800+ HP is certainly a talking point, but I'm talking about practicality here. Better put, a driver's ability to handle a vehicle so equipped?
Just today another member...
I can't speak for others, but when I use the wireless charging pad, my iPhone gets to hot to handle! I'd believe that is closer to reality than cost cutting. Imagine leaving your smartphone laying there while you're filling the tank.... Then blooie fire and smoke.
