Not if you have a stage 2, but you need octane, either high quality E30 blend or race gas like MS109 or 260GT
They recommend 100 octane plus to pulley down some, I wouldn’t even recommend the 3.5 pulley I have, car is too fxckin fast… waaaay too Fn fast.
I think similar setups dyno in the mid...
Only on base GT brakes, if you have a dark horse or performance pack or just the larger brembos you need to run 18s
Hoosier makes a good 18” tire iirc, I know a few 1K plus RWHP DH’s on them.
I don’t think he even owns one… just lowkey complaining about what he doesn’t like.
it was like this when the cars first came out for awhile, forum was jammed with S550 lovers/S650 haters
weird to see a resurgence.
Change and progress is the only thing that’s constant.
clearly this isn’t a car for you, that’s OK 👍
we’re a few generations from not having a steering wheel. Well maybe the halo cars will at exotic prices. For off-road use only.
you’re really not gonna like the next 20 years if you’re just...
Stock shifter is very competent. I had a Barton on my last MT82 car, coupled with stainless clutch line and trans x-member bushing/brace.
it worked but overall noise/vibration/ harshness added was noticeable.
Never was a whipple, it’s a 2.65 Eaton unit
And the cats are 2-3/4” not 2-1/2 like 5.0
engineer Mike on mustang 6g did retrofit the cats down to a GT and they’ve held up well on his car afaik.
I think if when we get a facelift, they just kick the can on platform changes…
Who, knows… if we start seeing $10-$12 gallon gas, that new EV platform might be back on the menu
I put the car in drag mode, and I may make passes with it on or off depending how I feel about track prep,
ideally: drag mode, then hold down for 5 seconds to fully disengage advance trac.
it just can possibly spin harder through shifts.
Strong disagree.
I’ve been deep in the SBF foxbody game for decades.
This car is basically a modern foxbody. If you don’t like the rasp, put a larger resonator on it to eliminate that.
it’s not going to sound like a .600 plus lift solid roller… and from the people who complain about every...
Not revving with the new set up, need to do a spring startup and drive soon.
but in quiet mode it’s definitely quieter than Stock cruising/part throttle… WOT the active kicks open so you really hear it rip then.
its so quiet in quiet mode I can actually hear my whipple … which very few people...
Eh… let us know, I’d expect them to be worse than stock for grip as far as drag racing.
there isn’t a combo tire, what works for RR is a much different design than DR, different compounds and stability
the closest “compromise” tire would be Toyo R888R
More of a road racing tire but soft enough...
